Yes looked at the specs everything the same . Thank you. I noticed other kicker items have slightly different model numbers. The only thing I noticed is country of manufacturer China or Thailand being the difference.
I didn't know they changed the design. It's possible they also changed manufacturing locations. I would've never known. I probably would've just gotten the cheaper one without looking any further. LOL. If you're considering this, you may want to take a look at the 10 inch model. On my old Chevy, I went with the Cerwin Vega one. I don't remember why I chose it over the Kicker or Alpine. It may be a hair thinner, or just a bit less expensive. Here is a link:

Already installed the 8 because of the price . 239.99. I noticed that the kicker speakers made in China are priced less than the same speaker made in Thailand. You probably won't be able to hear a difference.

If you look at the connector to your factory sub the two orange wires that go to the sub will work.
otherwise just reference the wiring diagram i posted above for someone else.
Is there a section of the back trim piece that you can remove to just access the Premium Alpine subwoofer wiring? I'd prefer not to take the whole panel off just to tap into the orange wires. I plan on keeping the factory sub in place and add the HS10.

I disconnected the factory subwoofer and turned the radio on. The radio worked fine so we plugged the subwoofer back in and it started working. I don't feel removing the factory sub will affect anything so i removed it. Got the Kicker HS10 mounted with some left over brackets i had laying around in the shop. Now i'm just deciding where i want to run the power wire. I'm probably going to remove the passenger seat and interior panels and run it along the passenger side where i can exit underneath the floor mat with the wires from my electric steps.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. I understand you made more upgrades with some under seat subs later on, but do you think that if I were to replicate this setup could I fit an HS12 behind this panel? Or was the HS10 the biggest available to replace the factory sub?

Yes there should be plenty of room for the 12
