Just got this email from a semi-local dealer.... in response to me asking when / what vehicles they are getting. Good news is they are getting them "any day".....

"We are suppose to get about 12 of the launch vehicles. Showing 2 Billet Silver and the White one.
We are taking deposit on the them. We are also selling them 5k Over sticker as most dealers are selling them 10k over. Let me know if you would like to come in and further discuss."

While I'm sure I have pushed the envelope a few times with my vocabulary, using the word raped in the title of the thread my be somewhat offensive to somebody who has or somebody who has had somebody close to them actually raped in the truest sense.

Could you change the title to cheated/slighted/taken advantage of.. Ect, as I'm assuming any of those versions are probably more accurate to your intended meaning?

The funny thing is the analogy is far off. It's not like the dealer is cornering him in a parking garage and physically/sexually acausting him and forcing him to buy at a marked up price above msrp.

It's been covered many times now, how to easily get 6-12% off msrp.

Anybody that's researched ordering for a second on this forum isn't being raped if they buy at msrp. It's not rape when you ask for it, thats masochism.

they think that 80% of people don't like to haggle, or just want to buy it on the spot. Its not that they think @lucky7t is an idiot, its that they know other people are idiots.....unfortunately myself included.

I was part of a Pacifica forum for like 6 months, NEVER read ANYTHING about FCA affiliate discount, so guess who "negotiated 2% below MSRP" and felt good about it? This idiot! UGH. I then started reading about all the FCA affiliate stuff on this forum about 2 months after I already signed on the dotted line.

My point, is that anybody that's reading this thread shouldn't get "raped" by a dealer, because they should know better. If they don't want to fly to NC or ID to save thousands because its less convenient, that's their choice. At least they can Ben Franklin T-Chart that shit. Nobody ever discussed that on the Pacifica forum, so I fell into the idiot trap.
