Wondering if anyone has thought about or if you that already have JTs know where you are going to attach a CB antenna.

I'm hoping to cobble this together...

https://ruggedridge.com/cb-am-fm-antenna-mount-kit-97-18-jeep-wrangler-17212-20.html

with this...

https://www.rightchannelradios.com/products/firering-compatible-antenna-stud

and this...

https://www.rightchannelradios.com/...ts/products/firestik-medium-cb-antenna-spring

and this...

https://www.rightchannelradios.com/...antennas/products/firestik-firefly-cb-antenna

I heard the included adapter with the kit is kind of junky, but the other components should do the trick. I like it being a replacement for the antenna already there, I'm not terribly worried about range as it would be used off road or around our yard at work. I don't really care if it hurts AM/FM a bit as I probably use AM/FM a solid 2 hours a year. Out of the way, won't interfere with the windshield if I want to fold it down, and will fit in the garage with a 2' Firestik.

Unless something more clever and Gladiator specific comes out.

I'm open to other ideas, but it's the best I've found that suits me. Where to put a full size head unit is a bigger issue as I don't want an everything in the mic version.

There will be an antenna but it won't be CB. Here most people have switched over to HAM. In the Mountains, CB is only slightly better than standing beside your truck and yelling.

Thanks. I'll be sticking to the CB for the limited times I'll be in the mountains. Mostly will use when required for trail runs with groups.

If you are installing one for trail.riding purposes, most people have switched to a multi channel handheld radio. Better performance and less to jnstall/tune.

I have those too. Using a handheld CB but like to hook to a firestik if I can. Thanks!

I like the bed rail one but don't understand why the 4" height. Think that would put a lot of stress on the bends

or what looks like a weld in this case

I will be using a glass mount on the upper right hand corner, I shudder on drilling in my new jeep. I use a cb because I have a weather alert and national weather. I live in the south and I like know about storm warning.
