Still doesn’t make sense. The original offer was 5% under invoice, 1% TL, 1% for in house financing. So even if Travis doesn’t honor the TL, wouldn’t it still be 6% under invoice without the TL.

Secondly, I read somewhere Travis states he would honor the TL even if the gladiator wasn’t on the list of vehicles. Just bum out because I wanted to order from Tri City. This change in pricing sucks.
if you read the Tri City thread, he states why they changed it to 4% under with/without affiliate code cuz FCA doesn't honor it, if purchased after 5/9 I think. 5% under invoice if you finance through them.

Not sure about that state, but in many states, I have been in as long as you have eye protection that is considered ok. Now some cops love to make up their own traffic laws and even shake you down...

I paid $31 bucks one night for doing 70 in a 55 he said, but when I pointed out the 70 MPH sign clearly in my headlights he said OK, gonna give you a ticket anyhow and you can tell that to the judge in the morning when he comes in. He told me I was going to jail just to make sure I was there when the judge came in. Told him it's Monday morn and I need to be at work. Je said then you can pay the fine now! How much is it Officer? How much you got? I gave him all I had, $31 bucks and headed out with no ticket...

I saw a post where even though they screwed up , anyone who purchased before 5/9 they were honoring tread lightly but due to fca not honoring it they were losing money so anyone that orders now from them can't use it
Honorable....hopefully FCA will realize they need to let use the programs

Is there a link to this thread? I can't seem to find it.

Unless I am missing something, the FCA affiliate discount only accounted for 1% of the below invoice pricing from Tri City original deal. So that’s why I am confuse to how it impacted the new offer by 2%. It went from a total of 7% below invoice to total of 5% invoice. In any case, it sucks because tri-city was definitely the place I was planning on ordering. Now I am not too sure. However kudos to Travis for honoring previous orders.

You are not missing anything, others are missing the math readjustment. With the FCA affiliate 1% off the table, the offer should have gone down to a still base 5% with an additional 1% for through dealer financing (6% total). There is a missing 1% lost in the ether unexplained other than that is just the way they want to run the deal going forward.

My order was in before 5/9 with them and in theory they are going to honor the original deal of a 7% under MSRP with the stacking. What I worry about now when my order JT comes in, is if they are going to play games with my trade in and super low ball it to make up the difference?

nobody knows how they get paid, its all speculation, lucky for those that already ordered, gotta make the best of the situation or wait it out for those of us that didn't pull the trigger early.

I’m not trying to be a jerk... but 1% of a fully loaded rubicon at MSRP (~$60,000) is $600

Is that really a deal breaker on $60,000?
If I was negotiating $6000, yea $600 can make or break the deal.

Now factor in that you’re getting invoice, not even MSRP...

Yes we want to pay the least amount, but even just getting invoice is a huge win. How many stories are we hearing of dealerships charging ADM, or not budging from MSRP?

It’s difficult to explain on here why it’s not 6% now but basically he’s digging into his holdback which is 3% off MSRP but equals about 4% below invoice when taken out the equation. He’s making his money off the $349 doc fee and spiffs from referring people via financing and maybe some other small deal we don’t quite know Jeep does on these. Even at 5% below invoice it’s still a great deal if honored.

Again, it’s not 1 % difference, it’s 2%, 7% to 5%. Thus on a 60k car is approx. $1200. And to me that is not making or breaking my decision to get the truck but it will definitely make me reconsider who I am buying from because there are other dealers offering similar if not the same deal.

I agree it's not significant amount on a 60k vehicle. But for some people going out of state $600 easily pays for the plane ticket to travel down and gas/food traveling back.

I understand, and I agree. I'm taking exception with the desire of others to breakdown and fully understand why it had to change by 1% or 2%. To the extent of inferring, or suggesting that there is some shady business going on. I'm not too sure it's fair to vilify one of the first dealerships to attempt to assist this community. They took a gamble with us, were wrong, notified the community, but are still honoring what was sold at that initial rate, prior to the change. Yea, they're a business, trying to make money, just like any other. But this counts as professionalism in my book.
I'll pay extra for that.

However - that's just me. Everyone else's mileage may vary...
