nice truck. I just didnt think they had deals and something about a convertible lead me to the gladiator. If it was the same price it would be a tough choice.Well I’m out. Found a deal on a raptor.

I had to do about a hour of negotiating to get the price down a few grand off msrp. The ridiculous thing is the insurance is stupid cheap. Apparently safety ratings and credit history have more impact than driving history from what my insurance agent told me.nice truck. No one here could blame youWell I’m out. Found a deal on a raptor.

I test drove a Raptor the day before I placed my order on my Rubicon Gladiator. The Raptor is an absolute beast, and so incredibly comfortable! It bend physics to be so fast and so smooth! But ultimately, its a lot bigger than I want, and drinks a lot of fuel, premium at that. Here in Western Canada we have some of the highest fuel costs in North America, so its kind of a big deal for me. Also, the Raptor has too much technology in it for my tastes... When something goes wrong, its going to be very pricey to fix. As a mechanic by trade, I appreciate the simplicity and aftermarket support of the Jeep. To make matters worse, here in Canada Raptor prices are high, and gladiator prices are reasonable... my fully loaded Gladiator build is $66000, whereas a BASE Raptor w/sunroof is $82000. Want the big screen and 802 package, thats another $8000!Well I’m out. Found a deal on a raptor.

At the end of the day though, the deal breaker for me on the raptor was the missing 3rd pedal. Driver engagement wins out for me every time. Oh, and gladiator is a convertible!!!!!
I had Tundra that averaged 12.5 mpg. Even with the cheap stuff, it was still pricey.I can't image feeding a raptor that will get 18 mpg best case with premium fuel. That shit is like $0.70 more per gallon than regular.
Keep us posted if you hear anything else!Email from the dealer this morning. Says that it's still scheduled for build on Wednesday.

Is this the first scheduled build date encountered by anyone on this thread?Email from the dealer this morning. Says that it's still scheduled for build on Wednesday.
You may be the first make sure you get pictures of it otherwise its just a mythical creature like bigfoot.Got a call from my dealer a little while ago. My MT should be coming out of paint today. She said it should ship later this week and be here sometime next week.
Best way to confirm it is a manual in production is put it in the tracker and get a build sheet. If there is no build sheet it’s not actually in production. You may be the first make sure you get pictures of it otherwise its just a mythical creature like bigfoot.
