Now that I see one (1) in real life, I want mine even more. Not quite sure if I feel better about anything, but at least it's a step in the correct direction. Jrath88, you have quite a few new friends (jealous ones)! Can you tell us if you are able to hold the "red ring" in the upper position and rock between reverse and 1st gear without having to release/reset it?

Hey Jrath88 a BIG congrats to you. Love to know how well it shifts when going down the road. I sat in a Wrangler with a stick shift and shifted the gears while it was parked, engine not running. And it did not feel so smooth. And yes I know this is not apples to apples. So this is why I would like to hear what you think about it on real world driving down the road instead of my sitting on a showroom floor with the engine not running. Appreciate it.

Is that what the red ring is for, going in reverse? I see you shift left and up. I’m assuming you have to lift the red ring to engage the slot for reverse? Interesting idea

Today's JeepChat convo:

Me (7/3/2019, 3:20:29 PM): Is it still D status?
Me (7/3/2019, 3:20:43 PM): OR has it moved to D1?

Sarah (7/3/2019, 3:21:12 PM): It is in the D status currently.
I do see that it has been in this status for quite some time Laura. What I can do is open a file here for you and escalate it to our Product Information Department to see if we can get more of an update for you and then I can contact you back once there is an update, would that be okay?

Me (7/3/2019, 3:21:26 PM): Yes, please.

Me (7/3/2019, 3:21:39 PM): Also, what day is it in D status?

Sarah (7/3/2019, 3:22:27 PM): It has been over 30 days in this status and most orders are scheduled within 30 days. I will get this escalated to get an update and contact you back as soon as I have any information.
Here is your case number for your records: 59115673

Me (7/3/2019, 3:22:53 PM): I have it at Day 43.

This is the second time that a file has been opened to "escalate" my build...

Manual transmission JT’s showing up in transit to dealers on Jeeps website. Some have Window stickers if you follow the dealer links. Most are white overlands, but there’s a Red Rubicon sticker at the Stone Mountain GA dealer near me. https://www.gwinnettcdjr.com/api/inventory/GetStickers/?sv=MQBDADYASgBKAFQAQgBHADkATABMADEAMgA1ADcAOAAxAA==&make=Jeep&dealerCode=60542&loc=Vdp
Wonder what's up with the White Overlands... looked based on my zip and there's 3 dealer In Transits, all White Overlands.

Is encouraging to see Jrath get his and movement elsewhere.

Yes you can hold that up and bounce back and forth freely. Guessing for rocking it out of a jam that could be useful

It's been many moons since I drove a manual and it was in big trucks over 5 years ago. The first bit into each gear is a bit tight yet but getting more used to it slowly. Tried just timing the shifts up with accelerating and not usimg clutch, but was told that could be bad for syncros not usin the 3rd pedal??
