I am contemplating switching my membership to team Gator... However I'm stuck in the ordering dilemma of when the heck we will actually get our spec'd Gators out in California and in our driveway. I'm planning an overlanding trip in October/November. So for those patiently waiting for the Gator color what's your handicapping of when these rigs get built and delivered? My guess is 20% by the end of October, 60% by the end of November, and 90% by the end of the year. What say you Gator people?? :movember:
I used to think I had a notion of how things worked. And then I ordered a Black since Gator wouldn't be out until September, on May 11. Almost 12 weeks later and it hasn't started being built.

I'm on course for 16 to 24 weeks. So worst case January through March? Others took delivery in 4 or 5 weeks. Granite LE not even VINs. My advice... set no expectations, no matter how reasonable you think they might be.

Yep. But others have gotten amazingly fast. You might get October or March, assuming mid September order open.
or maybe they cancel gator because it looks too much like blue or gobi depending on who renders it. :asshat:

NO!!! I am patiently waiting for Gator. I didn't want to drive far to get it, so I'm going with a 1% under invoice price.

According to tire rack this is what they say gator looks like.

I think that is pretty accurate. It sure looks closer to the Wayout than it does on Jeeps on build site.

Now just paint that top beige and we've got a winner..

EDIT: So digging around on TireRack. The colors are a little different on each trim. Slacksuperstar posted up an Overland model. But if you look at the Rubicon, the gator green is quite a bit darker.

If you look at Hydro Blue on the Overland, it looks too light to be correct. However it looks pretty close to dead on when looking at the Rubicon...

I have seen Gator in person and it's probably the most accurate rendering I have seen

I was really waiting for gator to come out to make the decision, really on the fence. I was hoping it was a darker green like the jeep rendering...

If you've seen the Gladiator Wayout concept, you've seen Gator Green. Jeep has said as much..
