First stage of upgrades done, Falken wild peak at tires, side steps, spray in bedliner, tri-fold toneau cover. Gladiator hood decal on the way. Towed the Mule to the deer lease. 3500 lbs towed Jeep pulled well. I am a happy boy. Ready for hunting season.

Since my Overland doesn’t have the “big black box” around the rear view mirror. The vertically challenged one here placed a tinted strip film up front. Cause every morning that big beautiful orange ball would sear my retinas, always where the visors weren’t. Problem solved.:like:

is that a special piece of tint, or does a tint shop just cut normal tint short to do that? i like the idea.

i masked off the holes and filled them with fiberglass resin and used a few pieces of cloth on the backside.

Tomorrow i get to sand down the excess resin that files the circular tape cut out, flush with the rest of the paint, then its getting vinyl wrapped tuesday.

ever tell somebody not to flush the toilet for some reason and then they flush it out of habbit? I didn't want somebody (myself included) to close the tailgate as gravity is holding the un-cured resin in the tape hole.

Steffen believe it or not just bought a small roll of static cling tint from Pepboys I measured it and cut it for my field of vision.
Sprayed some soapy water on and Wallah!

Ok,next! Well we did get an opportunity today to mount the Rubi rims and Falken tyres. My lift is currently occupied with a resto project, so luckily my my mechanic buddy let me use his shop lift. I tell you what, I was surprised by how much more the
Rubi/tyres weigh compared to the Overlands stock combo rim/tyre. Once on the road though I didn’t notice any less grunt from the engine. Rides nice. In the coming weeks hope to get the Rubicon suspension installed.

Job.... always got a job...
Installed a Cobra 75 radio and finally got to go topless. Still hotter than hades here in the fl panhandle but figured i would put my big boy pants on as my wife calls them and suck it up a few days before the rain comes back. Really like the way the JT looks w/o clothes. And btw, top is incredibly light compared to my JKR. Opened the sliding rear and picked up with ease... gonna really like come fall and next spring.

MAN i did a ton yesterday and this morning TO Gladys.

I filled the rear holes in the tailgate, took the sport badge off, cut the drain plug carpet plugs out to properly install my floor mats.
