Just met with member @PyrPatriot in Nashville,Tn. We swapped tires and wheels. He now has my old factory black steel wheels with tires on his truck and I now have his factory aluminum wheels and tires on my truck. Met here in Nashville as I am here for a week with a family member who is having surgery at Vanderbilt which is where my older daughter is a Doctor, anesthesia resident. Makes it a good meeting place for me. My old black steel wheels look nice on his sting grey ride and the silver aluminum wheels look great on my silver ride.

DO you happen to have a write up of how you did this?
Not really, although I think the original person who did this mod (I just copied the idea) might. My steps were:
  • cut the factory bedliner around the plastic plug with a razor knife
  • pop the plug out
  • Realize that the power outlet is much bigger than the existing hole. But there are smaller holes around the edge that will line up perfectly.
  • Get the dremel tool with metal cutting discs out
  • Cry inside as you intentionally tear up your new truck for the first time
This is the size of the piece I cut out:

  • Once the hole is cut, the plug fills it nicely. I uses sheet metal screws to fasten it
  • The plugs are all set with a wiring harness and inline fuse. I used 16 feet of 10-gauge wire, ran it along the frame all the way forward and connected it directly to the battery.
Yet to be done: The backside of the plugs is completely exposed to the elements. I'm going to take some plastic and form a block underneath it. Probably just use some 3M tape to secure it.

I went with these: https://www.gpca.us/gp-grip-jeep-wrangler-grab-handles/

Got for front and rear and got the seat ones too.
Just ordered the same grab handles - front, rear and seat backs with color. Everything is on sale so now is the time to order if you are looking at these.. Also a Black Friday discount that I didn’t see until I submitted the order. I sent them an email and they applied the discount and are sending me a refund for the difference. Great service on top of their great deals!! Thanks GPCA!

I just ordered the Mopar Optional rock rails they are heavy built but can be a small step. And not in your face flashy. I like that they are not big , i don’t use steps so the Overland running board is wide & rubs my leg getting out. Also plastic gives no protection at all off-road or if you get t-boned .

THe brand is Rydonair, bought it on Amazon. Not sure on reception yet as I just installed it.
I have the same one on mine. I put it on two months ago or more and can’t tell you about reception either; I only listen to the music on my iPhone. LOL!

Who makes them? How’s the reception?
The reception is fine if the stations are local, I did notice a decrease for stations that are farther away. An example is a station that had slight static and fading is now to the point where you would not be able to listen to it.
