Installed 1” front spacer lift today. The 2” Mopar lift mimicked the stock rake and after installing steel bumper/winch it settled more exacerbating the rake.

Looking good! Are u going to paint the Hauk gladiator silver to match like the factory Jeep?

I have a Hauk gladiator and was going to do the black wrap trimmed in red then paint the gladiator silver when I paint the front bumper. Also going to trim the gladiator out in red like the factory Jeep emblem

Thanks! I considered both the options you mentioned but after mocking up the Hauk emblem I like it in black.
I've been too busy the last few days to finish the tailight surround, but I'll likely do it today and take a few pics.

After having it for over a week, we finally installed my BuiltRight Utility Rail System. We had to fight with the Line-X though as it was sprayed over the holes.

Easy as pie, I used a 24" breaker bar to start and then a 1/2 ratchet did the rest.
Watch the Ace video dedicated to the JT and you can't go wrong.....
I used two 5 gallon buckets to hold the rail and slide under truck to install, blue lock tight, torqued to 82 ft lbs n I was good.

Just curious if while loosening the bolts if it felt like any of the the nut was loose. I heard 2 pops as I started loosening mine with a breaker bar, I was able to loosen the bolt but then at the end it just spins and won’t come out. I can tighten it back up so not sure what’s happening.

Did the same with mine today. No line-ex but the paint also did cause some tough threading. Tips for those going to install the BuiltRight rails:
- put the end caps on before install - the rear end cap will butt up against the bed.
- test fit the bolts to ensure the threads are clean.
- the long slot goes to the front of the truck, otherwise all the holes won’t line up.
- it’s a 1 man job, but extra hands are helpful as the rails are heavy.
- I used a spring loaded shower rod to hold up the loose end while I threaded in the first bolt.
- on the front rail I set one end on a milk crate while threading the first bolt.

Gave it a bath to get the salt off and checkout my freshly mounted 35’s. Also checked the speedo after adjusting with the Tazer, looks like I got it set right on.

Weather here in OK has been cool in the mornings, but warming up nicely during the day (50s is nice to us--I know my San Diego resident parents would be bundled up in the heavy winter gear, LOL).

Right now I have the OEM tonneau cover on the bed. If Bestop comes out with the full canvas topper, I plan to get that. I expect they will since they bought the company that makes it for other vehicles. I'm toying with the idea of using that in lieu of a ground tent. At least maybe in bad situations like what we ran into at Cleopatra's Chair a couple years ago (in case anyone is puzzled by that reference, 6:55 if not forwarded automatically) ...

I remember watching that back then . . . and it prompted me to get my Kodiak Canvas - 4 season Strong, but a real pain in my Back to put up / take down - those poles are Heavy galvanized steel, ugh. I wish you Great Luck, even at a "mere" 5ft 7in., of being able to sleep comfortably in that 5ft Bed . I've done impromptu experiment on a Single Bed Mattress at a "mattress/furniture" store, putting the pillows down at the 5ft mark . . . COULD NOT DO IT ! Sure I'm 6ft but still ! The store sales lady was only 5ft 4in ~, AND she couldn't imagine having to always be sleeping in the "fetal" position ! So again, all I can say is GOOD LUCK ! Could it be time to consider towing a "tear-droppy" - sleep inside, cook outside ? I couldn't (for now) as I have a drift boat I take everywhere (well almost everywhere). I might be headed to "RAM-ville," and a 6ft 4in bed with the RSI SmartCap on THAT -- so's I can Comfortably Sleep inside, have room for most gear, and maybe even a new friend (furry 4 legs kind, ruff ruff) . Stefan's new dog has inspired me a bit - but I'm inclined to go with a Boykin Spaniel - reminds me of the Irish setter we had (as a child) - best dog ever ! Any-who, sorry for the mini-hijack, but no ones put a new post here in a bit ! Merry Christmas to all . . .

I had that happen today as well. We determined it was the Loctite breaking loose. Scared the crap out of me on the first bolt... did not want to have to deal with a broke bolt!
