I've voiced my opinion on the build time with the Gladiator I've ordered, and unfortunately, I'm now to the point of raising a bigger stink. So I'd like to hear from you guys if you have experienced an exuberant amount of time in the build process. As my signature shows, I was once in D1. A month ago. Now, after checking in with "JeepChat" I went backwards. I'm not even in D1 anymore. There is no code for where my jeep is currently at. In just a few days it will have been two months since my order.

Now I know you guys are going to say it's up to the dealer and all that, but he's getting the same runaround. His rep stated that they are behind on builds and pushing everything back to the beginning of next year and built "in a rush." Well if that doesn't make me nervous, I don't know what would. Is there anyone else in here that has experienced this run-around? I know my build is no common set up because of the manual, but Christ alive (Merry Christmas), I'm looking at 3 months or more before the damn thing shows up IF they build it tomorrow.

I got boned too by the build feries. Mine got built quick then it failed inspection and sat for nearly 45 days with no movement.

Damn. Now that would hurt. Kind of understandable though? I mean, "back of the line, Smokey!" :CWL:

But I'm talking just the process of building the damn thing. I had a D1 code for over a month and now it's back to being non existent. Where's JeepCares?

They are completely useless in these situations. Best thing that can happen is the dealer harass the regional manager. Jeep cares will just tell you to wait another 30 days before you can complain.

Christmas/New Years shut down is right in the middle of your build. 2 months isn’t unheard of, especially with a shut down smack in the middle of it. Be patient

6 weeks for me and that included going backwards at one point. However, who knows with the holiday season, I would expect it to add some time.

I have to laugh at some who are complaining about how long it takes. There are numerous people, including myself, that ordered their JT LE on 4/4/19. That was the first day of ordering. We waited about 6 months before we received them. Mine was delivered to dealer on 9/20. I sat in C status for over 4 months. @WildJD waited almost 7 months to get his, if I remember correctly. So did @kayakmike.

Exactly...when 8-10 weeks is par for the course on special-ordering vehicles and the OP is just approaching 2 months. Mine took 103 days from order to delivery. I've ordered from FCA, Toyota, Ford and GM and never got any order quicker than 8 weeks.

Mine went from D1 to C last week.... They also told my dealer I have to amend the order because the overlands will have the front trail cam from now on?

Anyway it's a Overland, manual, 8.4. I'm going to bug them again after the new year and see what is up.

It's annoying that they are going full steam ahead on building unsold inventory and sold orders seem to be languishing in paperwork hell.

We went from D to D1 back to D MULTIPLE times..... We were EXACTLY 90 days from date of order to date of delivery. For 60+ of those there was basically no progress....but once it actually started to move it was literally out the door in a couple of days... Its super frustrating to say the least.....but at the end of the day it was worth the wait! I can only imagine the holidays added to the snafus in your case. Hang in there. You can raise Hell if you want to...or you can just 'wait' ~the outcome is likely going to be the same....

Ordered a new 1984 car in early December 83. Received the car in mid-Feb 1984
A bit over 2 months even back then. Dealer kept calling and saying "are you sure you don't want one off our lot? We have some nice ones".
When the holiday break comes smack in the middle of things, it does delay things.
We also look at the other vendors involved - when are things getting shipped.

Maybe they are confused with the max tow/ 6 speed? I ordered mine 18 ish november and it has been sitting in the holding grounds here in san diego for a week now. Just waiting on the 15 mile truck drive to the dealer lot.
