Any update?
New PCM was a bust. I cleared ot and drove on the highway for 2-300 miles and it didn't come on again until I idled. I cleared it again until my next gas stop. It seems that idleing is what triggers it. Highway driving does not.

Was this resolved?
30 days at dealership shop, still no end at sight
says they ran new fuel, premium fuel, was about to replace rocker but they backed out and now replaced one of the lifter, but now says the air/fuel ratio is not right so, still waiting.

I have this Jeep cherokee loaner and it feels like it has better throttle response than the gladiator, it was bit of a drag,
it is for sure cylinder misfire and timing issue it seems.

Funny enough they still have my JT. They were able to fix the misfire and the codes. But they weren’t able to fix the noise. They ordered a new engine and should come in on 2/12.
sounds like a farm tractor

If you have had the CEL light come on with misfire codes, please respond to this thread.
Build date:
Mileage when it first occurred:
How many times has it occurred:
What exact codes did it throw:
Is the issue on going? Y/N
If so, what has been done to try to solve the issue?
Was the issue ever fully resolved? Y/N

I'm just curious how many of us are dealing with the same issue and how much of a problem it truly is. I know for a fact that on my build date that 10 other JT's failed final inspection for the same misfire issue so I know there are plenty out there based off of this alone.

I had my Check Engine light on with 1200 miles on my Gladiator, I bought a Cheap Car Scan Code Reader code P300 ? was a" intermittent misfire" I put a Heet dry gas additive, cleared my code with the code reader. That cleared the code then I changed my Gas purchase station the code never returned! I now have 1600 miles looking forward for non issue to continue.. I am in the North Country a Lot of Deep snow recently must of been fuel contamination!

Big surprise! My code came back P0 300 two different occasions. I brought it to the dealer with the check light on and they believe it has something to do with the rocker arm assembly. I have 1800 miles on my new Gladiator Rubicon. I have a loaner Jeep from the dealer and we'll find out tomorrow after they take the valve covers off if it is what they suspect.
I'm extremely disappointed and there's nothing I can do it is what it is I should have waited for the diesel.

Learned from the Dealer service today that the Gladiator Has the "third" Generation of the 3.6 engine. They did not remove the valve covers however performed other tests with engine maintenance which I am not exactly sure what that was? All I know for now it feels like the performance significantly has improved, for the first time I am getting better then 18 MPG. Also on my 125 mile trip home I did not get a Check Engine Lite.. Now I may continue with my Plans to head to Florida Daytona Beach (Bike Week) pulling a 16' Hallmark aluminum enclosed trailer with my Harley.. from NY where I am, it will be 1,450 miles one way..

My truth about my $59,955.00 before taxes Rubicon Gladiator will be if I make a successful trip there and back without engine codes or issues. If all goes well I have 38x13.5 x17 MT tires wheels, a OEM 2" lift kit ready to install. I should be well broken in for that conversion.

I may be Very New to be taken seriously out here however I am sure when I am done with my Build it will be a Very Positive story for this forum.

Although not new technology, I feel that the auto start stop & variable valve train (VVT) are this cause of these issues. I think that is have something to do with the programming, PCM, ECU. Since none of this technology is new to FCA. I have also not seen anything on here where someone on here has had the misfire issue and the engine was tore down to find faulty valves, heads, cylinders, intakes so I feel that the issue is truly not internal of faulty engine parts or we would be seeing this more frequently in other lines of FCA vehicles. the JT is a new vehicle and its going to have issues its just too bad they were not worked out before they pushed the production vehicles out the door.

My 2020 Gladiator Overland purchased 9/12/2019 Stop/Go Light came on within the first week.. Then the check engine light came on. Misfire code detected and dealer cleared thinking bad gas. Then December 2019 same thing and dealer replaced all the rocker arms and one side of the head, keeping the Jeep from Jan 2 until Jan 10. Feb 15 on trip the Stop/GO light came on and started running rough and check engine light came on. Engine ran so rough it would hardly run and the check engine light started blinking. Called a nearby dealer who said blinking light and other symptoms made the car dangerous to drive. We left it at the dealer and continued our trip in a loaner. So far nothing useful from Jeep. Dealer thinks replacing engine will be required. I do not believe the engine is the problem. I think it is computer related. I have seen other posts where the engine was replaced and the problem reoccurred. The dealers have contacted Chrysler and followed instructions. Clearly Chrysler does not know what is causing this.

update:
went into dealer to fix CEL p0300 with 200miles and got back after 450 miles and 35 days and lifter replaced, less than 24 hrs later dies at every stop same issue, A! & CEL same thing all over again, one thing is sure after driving loaner cheeroke and now gladiator sports, they both have more engine power & better throttle response than mine with CEL on, it is night and day difference. Mine is a drag.
