I have a Rubi manual as well and have the same exact issue. No CEL light, it just feels like its misfiring while at part throttle trying to maintain a low speed (25-30) Press the throttle and then after a slight hesitation like its coming out of cylinder deactivation mode and it goes. I should have them look at it while the clutch is getting replaced from this recent recall.Rubi manual with a little under 3K miles here and since day one, on acceleration, I feel an occasional "blip" momentary loss of power (I liken the feel to a misfire). This usually happens in gears 2 or 3 at around 2,000 rpm. So far there have been no Check Engine Light (CEL) or Electronic Start Stop (ESS) warnings, no misfire warnings, nothing.
I consider < 3K to still be in the "jeep is breaking me in" period, just like getting used to the light clutch, the tall reverse gear ratio, the slightly wandery steering at higher speeds, the two overdrive gears on the 6-speed. All those are not likely to change and are just a matter of me adapting to the Jeep. The Pentastar seems to start thriving somewhere north of 2K RPM so as far as the perceived misfire goes, I'm thinking I'm just being a little too easy on it - I tend to do that when learning new vehicles - and should just give it more throttle, and maybe it will go away after a little more time or a flash update. The Pentastar on my '14 JK was smooth across all RPMs with no blips right out of the gate.
Despite the quirks I love this thing every day and so far feel no need to bring it in to get checked out.
