Rubi manual with a little under 3K miles here and since day one, on acceleration, I feel an occasional "blip" momentary loss of power (I liken the feel to a misfire). This usually happens in gears 2 or 3 at around 2,000 rpm. So far there have been no Check Engine Light (CEL) or Electronic Start Stop (ESS) warnings, no misfire warnings, nothing.

I consider < 3K to still be in the "jeep is breaking me in" period, just like getting used to the light clutch, the tall reverse gear ratio, the slightly wandery steering at higher speeds, the two overdrive gears on the 6-speed. All those are not likely to change and are just a matter of me adapting to the Jeep. The Pentastar seems to start thriving somewhere north of 2K RPM so as far as the perceived misfire goes, I'm thinking I'm just being a little too easy on it - I tend to do that when learning new vehicles - and should just give it more throttle, and maybe it will go away after a little more time or a flash update. The Pentastar on my '14 JK was smooth across all RPMs with no blips right out of the gate.

Despite the quirks I love this thing every day and so far feel no need to bring it in to get checked out.
I have a Rubi manual as well and have the same exact issue. No CEL light, it just feels like its misfiring while at part throttle trying to maintain a low speed (25-30) Press the throttle and then after a slight hesitation like its coming out of cylinder deactivation mode and it goes. I should have them look at it while the clutch is getting replaced from this recent recall.

Update: Got Gladiator back from dealer service 3/19/20 after 30 days in shop at 10,140 miles with 2nd set of new rocker arms, tappets, and another head replacement, and 2 new cams (one broken). Drove 250 miles home without CEL light. Successfully drove 2-3 trips less than 40 miles. Then at 10,400 miles CEL came on again. This will be the 4 time and out of service more than 75 days. Dealer service was great and they followed all instructions from FCA. I am concerned that no one knows why this is happening and all fixes have not worked. Love the Gladiator, don't want anything else.

I have been off the Forum for a bit. Kinda hard to be happy when as of March 18th Your Brand new JT has been in the shop for 82 days out of the 123 days I have owned it. Three times. I asked jeep cares to replace it uder the Lemon law twice. Ya that's Right basically told it was not going to happen. First time dealer told me nothing wrong just a fluke, second time with check eng light it spent 27 days in shop. so the third trip has been the longest. I got it back from dealer on the 19th of March saying its all fixed. The 20th it went back cause of another misfire. so lets see, bore scope of inter cooler, replace of left catalytic, Replacement of Inter cooler, replacement of timing parts. and all i get out of jeep cares is sorry we'll get it fixed this time around. I have less the 6K miles on it. I have contacted a attorney. y as i am tired of jeep NOT CAREING... So if any one else is having these issues contact [email protected] or www.filelemonlaw.com

Thanks for the post/update. You got the enjoyment of many more miles than I. Just got mine back today with so much shit done its not even worth attempting to relay the info. Last dropped it off on March 11.

Sorry to hear you're having a similar nightmare. I'm strongly considering lemonade mine but will give it a few days. As you know, the light will be back. Good luck man, you are not alone.

I'm just curious to all having issues. Are the issues you are seeing making your JT not driveable or perform as usual? It's been a while since my CEL has came back on and it guarentee it will come back but I notice no difference in performance with it on or off.
You all realize you have a 3/36k warranty so why not enjoy the thing and at 30k start pushing the issue and if it does not get fixed then, well lemon law it.
I'm just going to keep driving mine and if the engine blows up it will get replaced. As long as the issue is documented then you are good. My Jeep cares Rep told me I had all the right in the world to refuse the suggested repairs and if my engine blew up or malfunctioned it would be fully covered.
I know most of you have lost faith but I'm hoping Jeep will have a fix before my 3/36 runs out, so for now I'm just going to enjoy my JT.... well as much as I can with a stay at home order in place:headbang::swear:

We had misfires several times and did not notice much difference, only slight skip on acceleration. at 7100 miles the CEL came on and stayed on. 3 weeks in the dealer service and Rocker Arms and Tappets were all replaced, also half the head due to a broken bolt. At 10,100 miles, on a trip, the Stop/Start failure light cam on as always, the check engine light came on and the jeep was running so rough it would barely run at low RPMs. We drove it to the next town and the CEL light started blinking. It was a Saturday and luckily early enough the nearest dealer was open. Left it 300 miles from home for 30 days to get one side new rocker arms, tappets, another half head, and a broken cam and other stuff. There was visible damage. We were advised not to drive with the CEL blinking. Read the rules for lemon law, each state varies. We are half way there.

We thought the same thing. Replaced the ecm, but no change. Seems to have fixed the auto start/stop thing though.

Dont know. Mine was a late october build and has it
Both dealers told me that when the computer senses misfires the stop/start failure light comes on because it will not be available. The CEL light does not come on until the misfires become more significant and do not self correct. Next time I guess I will learn more. So far they really do not know what is causing it.

Build date:12/19
Mileage when it first occurred: 1054
How many times has it occurred: once
What exact codes did it throw: P0300
Is the issue on going? Y- CEL flashed a couple times, then stayed on, I took it to the dealership to have them check it out
If so, what has been done to try to solve the issue? My jeep experienced a multi cylinder misfire.
Was the issue ever fully resolved? Yes as of today, no problems to report.

Service manager told me there was another Gladiator in the shop for the same thing and FCA is replacing the engine on that one.

Any noticable signs? Loss of power, shaking, rough idle?

Sometimes after the engine restarted at a red light I would notice some engine vibration but nothing else really.

Dealership called me this morning and told me they think my jeep is suffering from bad gas. They are wanting me to pay 800 dollars for them put everything back together, and pay for my rental too.
With all of the other issues other gladiators are having im not sure it is that simple.
