Justin, what options did you get on your truck? Has the dealer been in communication about a possible signing/delivery?

Update on my new Jruck buzz kill. I believe my Gladiator was delivered to my dealership this week but my salesman pretty much got laid off because of the times. I called the dealership today and they're closed. New York State is now on lock down with all non essential businesses closed. Hopefully things calm down in the next few weeks and I'll be able to enjoy it by the summer. Until then I'll just watch over my family and try to keep everyone healthy. Stay safe people[/QUOT
That sucks. Hope you get to get it soon. At the rate this thing is going it may be a while though. I'm expecting NC to lock down pretty soon. We are quadrupling cases each day. Up to 163 as of 4:00, was at 31 on Monday. Stay safe man, hopefully there is a bright light at the end of this.

Quick update on my situation, Ops manager is positive.as of last night. I have close interaction with him on a daily basis and they had a sales meeting last Thursday with about 27 people in the meeting he was in. I'm thinking based on the updates to the countiea that our regional manager knew on Wednesday but didn't inform us until last night. I hope that's not case because if it is I have some employees that are fuming over it and looking at their options. I'm kind of in a shock state right now because I'm not showing any signs so I can't get tested but I don't want to go around people with it and spread it. Looks like we are headed for a shut down. I would think after this corporate would get involved and force us to. I'm getting calls from one of my old bosses who works for one of our competitors who is telling me that word is spreading that management is mishandling this situation we got going on at our site. Employees are not happy. I'm sure HR will get a ear full today. I'm at a lost right now, trying to figure it out. Stay safe out guys and gals!

My wife and I ran down to our beach house in Hatteras last night for a planned week of getting it ready for the upcoming rental season (hopefully).
I was online last night when I got an email from the Dare County Control Group that they were completely restricting access to Dare County for anybody except full time residents and supplies...This is only one of four counties in the state of NC that generates more in taxes than it uses and I can’t see the state of NC and/or Dare County giving up all that tax revenue. It would bankrupt the County if this doesn’t get resolved before mid May or so.

It kind of like sticking their head in the sand if you ask me...my neighbor here came down 2 days ago with his 3 kids because he and his partners in PA had shut down their chiropractic practice and his kids were out of school. His wife is a nurse so she stayed up there but now they don’t know when they might get back together.

We have (?) a 3 month overlanding trip planned to Alaska this summer.....we’ll see if it materializes...

This is all cool until somebody tells you you can't. From a Jeeper's only perspective. Your mall crawlers will oblige the restrictions. Hell, they might even write them. Your mods dudes will of course self modify the restrictions. And overlanders will oblige but extend restrictions. Rural folk will oblige only the obvious.

Jeephaeds, probably we are the most capable group in some ways. I myself may have dodged a bunch of those big Western fires. Well, I had a Jeep, so roadblocks were, sort of, only blocking the main roads. So I made my own way to safety. Rock on!

I'm back. Had to. National media says polls aren't moving. I beg to differ. I thank God I'm not alone.

Trump's coronavirus media briefings have become absurd. Here's how to navigate the truth
BILL GOODYKOONTZ | ARIZONA REPUBLIC

Don’t let the routine fool you.

More and more of us are now sitting in our houses, courtesy of the new coronavirus, getting used to the idea that we might be here a while. It’s not normal, but maybe it seems a little less inconceivable, bit by bit.

Still, it’s unnerving. In reality we are watching while the world around us, small and large, shuts down, and we are wondering what comes next.

Actually, forget that. We’re wondering what comes now.

And we need to rethink where we’re getting it, because President Donald Trump’s daily briefing isn’t cutting it.

Trump’s big promises on COVID-19 often fall short
By DEB RIECHMANNtoday

WASHINGTON (AP) — It’s become a fixture of life under quarantine. Almost daily, President Donald Trump appears on television, flanked by officials, to announce his latest maneuver in the fight against the new coronavirus. He typically unveils a dramatic-sounding emergency measure, a solution that appears imminent or a bold promise meant to reassure Americans that he’s got this.

Often, the reality falls short of the promise.

Trump keeps talking during market hours; stocks keep tanking
By AAMER MADHANItoday

WASHINGTON (AP) — When President Donald Trump speaks, financial markets gyrate and quiver in real time.

But that hasn’t stopped the president from holding forth almost daily about the coronavirus pandemic and its economic implications without waiting until markets have closed for the day.

While many of his predecessors worked consciously to not affect the markets, Trump has overtly made market movements and performance a measure of his effectiveness and central to his argument for a second term

this is more age worrisome....... in that your elders shall die from anyone's carelessness type of scenario, death sentence for some elderly. You might be fine.... but you're killing granny might be the biggest worry
1st insightful remark so far . . . one that I heed perhaps to the extreme . See, I AM in that Vulnerable Age & "Conditions," so I've taken a # of precautions . . . like shopping online (very reluctantly though, as my identity & information IS "out there"). Also extending my Winter Hibernation till who knows when ? Cancelled a major trip and relinquish myself to more tv-time than I ever thought possible with just the basic 3 via internet . . . UGH ! ;) :( . . . :)

This is why I’ve said for years that the mainstream media’s corrupt agenda-driving fear mongering is the most deadly virus that’s infecting Americans...Starting with their brains.
. . . And THIS is where this thread came unglued . . . for 32 pages (so far) and 9 days later . . . way to go 'MODERATOR(s)' . . . isn't there a Thread Created way down on the homepage for this kind of NONSENSE ? ? ? Should be NO TOLERANCE for POLITICS on a "FOR FUN" Gladiator Forum; at least NOT in this SECTION . But, not Surprised in the least . . . considering some of the clientele here .
IM MY OPINION, as always, of course . OK haters have at it . . . .

The derailment of this thread had FINALLY died down. Until, @5JeepsAz brought it down (up?) again. Please, please . . . take the politics someplace else. Let this thread be about the poor guy trying to get his hard earned vehicle. Take the whizzing match elsewhere. Start your own darn thread about how the gov't is handling the virus if you want. I'm sick of the diatribe.

Now, where's my bourbon . . .

Tell me what is political about that? I never once named a news station...Left or right. I never said anyone specific. So, don't try to blame me for your reading into something to push your opinion, after everyone else dog-piled on me because it's easy to do when you hide behind a keyboard.

Justin, what options did you get on your truck? Has the dealer been in communication about a possible signing/delivery?
GCM Sport S with tow, bedliner, color match fenders, hard top, winter package and auto trans. Spoke to my salesman today, it hasn’t been delivered yet. Still sitting at the delivery hub in NJ I believe. Doesn’t look like I’m going to see it anytime soon. My town (Huntington, NY) seems to be a hotbed for this virus. Most cases on Long Island. Our hospital is getting overwhelmed. So staying healthy is #1 priority right now. ‍♂
