Just happened to run across Jeep’s website the other day and was checking the build & price tool to see what other options have come up. I currently own a base model with max tow but they no longer offer it in that config.

(Edit: order book still shows it as an option, build and price doesn’t. More just curious what everyone has trim wise now that this is started. )

Now I’m kind of curious if I own a unicorn. Lol. How many of you all have a base model let alone a max tow optioned one? Not talking Sport S , just base without power windows etc.

Thanks!

Check the current order guide, the build and price tool at times does have a few random bugs.

Looks like you actually have a Sport S (power windows and locks). This appears as a package but is treated like another trim level.

The build and price tool occasionally will drop an option for one reason or another.

With production dropping due to COVID, I would not be surprised if Jeep was prioritizing Rubicon and Sport S max tow trims for the wide D44 since those are far more common configs. When sales are down, no reason to build a bunch of trucks that will sit on the lot for months. I mean it was hard enough to find a Sport or a Sport S with max tow when I shopped for mine, Sport max tow was always going to be a low volume model.

I got a base model Max tow with a Hard top. No power windows and no powerlocks. I'll be adding the power locks soon for $500 at my local car stereo shop. They said they can add the windows and Locks for around $900 but I'm not to concerned with the windows.

I have a Rubicon with the factory Class IV hitch tow package. Glad my dealer ordered them that way. I would never buy a truck that didn't have a factory tow package...Because to me a truck is a truck, it's supposed to be a multipurpose vehicle.

I'm looking for that exact same configuration. Base Sport with Max Tow. I don't want/need power anything. Found a few in VA, if anyone else is looking.

This is what I get for listening to the no-nothing sales weasel. He explained that the Sport S stated “Sport S” on the window sticker and mine just said “Sport.” However I just checked window stickers on about 35 Gladiators on 5 dealer websites and not one that was listed as a Sport S said it on the sticker.

Love it!
Only added soft tonneau, bed liner Max tow and accessories switches.

Very happy with it.

I placed an order 2 weeks ago for the Sting-gray Sport S with Max Tow, and basically everything you can check off on the build sheet lol including the Mopar HD Rock Slider w/Step assist rails. I saw the rails in person and really liked them. MSRP on my build is $51,700 and I'm getting it for $46,049 (7% below invoice).
I'm HOPING that there is a FCA rebate/cash allowance again by the time my truck is built/delivered most likely in mid-june.
The order still hasn't been accepted by the factory and it's killing me because I'm torn between the rubicon and the Sport S and I CAN go in and change the order right now as a result.

I went with the Max tow base. Bed liner, tonneau cover and accessories switches $36,464 destination fees included. Gives me a lot of $ left for upgrades. There was nothing in the S level I was interested in. I would'nt change a thing. Love the simple roll up windows. Read complaints if the hitting on knee. I'm 5'10" and my knee doesn't come close to contacting the window handle ever.
