I got anywhere from 3-3/8” to 4” depending on where on the roof I measure as it isn’t perfectly flat. Highest point is rear the corners of the rack and they sit 4” above but the roof has a bit of a slope at that point.
Perfect. Thanks. I wanted to see if I can still park in the garage with the rack mounted.

Alright... the good, the bad, and the ugly (?).

The good: Letters came today. Honestly think they’re pretty good quality. Maybe not “perfect” like the mass-produced Jeep letters currently on the tailgate, but I’m happy with the quality and look of the individual letters. I’m also happy with the overall look if the spacing would have been better to allow for the “p” to be more even with the “EE,” and still cover the holes, but I’m open to feedback and I’m not fully removing the old adhesive outlines from the other letters until I know for sure I want to keep them and not go back to the way it was. (Edit— I’ve removed them).

The bad: those holes in the tailgate are awful. They aren’t on any sort of level plane with each other, one is round, one is oblong, etc. And the shape of the new letters made it very difficult to cover the holes. I don’t think the one under the J is covered enough, to be honest. That’s my main hesitancy to keeping these on. The thin line at the bottom of the J had to cover the left hole in order to make the whole thing even close to centered over the camera, and it still may not be centered completely due to where that made me have to stick the p (haha, funny funny).

The ugly: maybe the whole thing? It looks slightly slanted, but using the level and based off of the old letters, it’s actually fairly square. May just be the different heights of the J/P. Also, the P is as far to the right as it can possibly be while still covering the oblong tailgate hole. I want comments, good or bad. Let me know what you all think. They’ve now been removed as I search for a different plan.

If you like it then great. Me I am not a huge fan. I was thinking about taking mine off and doing a black stripe across the tail gate with Jeep cut out so the color comes through

Thanks for your input. I’m still 50/50 on them.

The only challenge I see with your plan is trying to cover the holes. Might be hard to avoid uncovering them when making the cutout.

I think if you can make the “eep” level, it would look much better.

I agree. Unfortunately it throws off the spacing just enough to make the right tailgate hole visible when they're level due to how the top and bottom parts of the "P" on the left hand side stick out.

I think it could look good; what would be needed is a lot of trial and error with the letter sizing so you could get a decent size and be able to cover the holes. Have you considered making different stencils/cutouts on paper with different size fonts to see which size would be able to cover appropriately?

No, that would be the intelligent way to go about it. I just asked a guy online to try and make something up with the same max height as the current set-up, but that pushed it wider due to the font. Probably should have had him stick with the same width and just cut down on height a bit. I took them off and will search for a plan B.

Got my first stickers put on. Its hard to decide which ones to go with since i have a chartplotter left over from my sign shop. Might have to start graphics again. Seems like since i got back into jeeps the stickers have gotten really popular.

Installed Maximus-3 filler panels between bumper and grill. Easy install. Took about 20min.

What size did you go with?
I went with Regular Long. I'm having a hard time with the front flaps. They seem to not work with the mopar sidesteps. Working with Rokblokz now to solve the issue.
