DISCLAIMER: This is not a brag, but the latest PCM flash fixed all my issues—and I've been driving it for almost 1,000 miles since getting it back. No (@!), no CEL, even the knock, hard idle, and poor shift points are gone. It purrs.

I just want to give others hope that the PCM flash may solve their issues long term. Those with build dates at the end of the Demon Months™ (like mine)—who also have less prevalent and severe symptoms than others ITT—may find similar results from the flash.

The real conundrum seems to be that there's no universal solution to these identical issues across individual vehicles. That is absolutely disappointing.
When did you have the flash done? Was it the flash that came out in late July / early August, or a new one?

Had flash described in TSB 18-053-20 REV. B (released September 30) done October 12. I've posted a few times about this ITT since Oct 5, 2020 (incl. dealer notes and screenshots of the TSB) for anyone to go take a look. @ShadowsPapa also had this flash done—he posted about it in another thread—and noticed similar improvements to his ride quality.

Same for me. Had PCM flashed during first oil change back in August. 6900 miles on truck at time. I've now got 9500 miles on it. No CEL or any issues since oil change. Before, I would get CEL, misfire, and autostop fail sometimes with air condition on full cold. Knock on wood. My first issue didn't appear until 2900 miles.

For those of you that might be interested.
There are 123 of us that have posted a CEL or P0300. That is including some of the other threads in this Gladiator forum. Of that 42 have provided their production date and or build date. 9 of these are November builds. If you have your Gladiator back after one of it many trips to the dealer please update the build "MDH". If you have a build date 02/2020 and newer we really need that entered. This way we all can make a better decision to jump in on a later build or bail out completely. Having a good run of this could help us all out, if and when we go for a Lemon Law or push for a buy back.
I checked the parts catalog on the phasers, vvl and some of the other parts that were being commonly replaced. Using an dealer on line Mopar catalog as the source they are the same as the 2020 JL. I am going to start skimming that forum as well. I did notice that the oil pump, which was the same for both had gone through a number change="old number replaced by". Thought this was odd, none of the other components had gone through the change
I am picking mine up today. This was my 3rd trip in. One more and I will start the lemon law steps. The new phaser they installed on the second visit was swapped to the other side to see if they code would follow the part or stay on the 2, 4 6 bank. Not only did it not follow the phaser, it stopped popping the CEL. They supposedly drove it and supposedly could not get it to trip. I asked if they did a compression check, all I received was a yes. I will have to look at the work order when I pick it up. I went high and right and proposed a 0w30 oil versus the 0w20. They supposedly entertained that..

I’m sure the answer to this question is somewhere in these 83 pages, but has anyone on this thread actually had their attorney contact FCA regarding a legal Lemon Law case?
I ask because by all interpretation of Pennsylvania law my Gladiator qualifies as a lemon but when I ask for a repurchase, the retention rep says they “continue to work gathering the necessary resources to make that assessment”. I know getting a lawyer and the courts involved will drag this thing out even longer but FCA knows this too and is taking their sweet a$$ time and advantage of that.
Just curious what others who involved their lawyer went thru.

Awesome that you're on the road! I don't know if the flash you got was the same flash I got. If your flash was applied in August, the one I got wasn't released (updated?) until September, 30.

Was there a TSB that came with the flash you got?

Mine is still in, I had the 2 degree out on the 2,4,6 side as well and new adjusters installed. I think they are going to follow in your foot steps.
If mine is not fixed this time, i will jump on the attorney route as soon as possible. @JeepCares, what is happening to GIJOHN is unacceptable.
I would be a little concerned about what it is doing to those misfires, if you read that work order carefully lol.
On a serious note, once they replace that hardware, it would be nice to know they have the latest software flashed in. I believe I have reviewed it and if the engine is proper, this should do the trick.

I didn’t use an attorney but mine is being bought back. Make sure you are with the retention team and not some other slack jawed Jeep cares fools. If it qualifies for your states lemon law send them a letter of non confirming conditions. Make sure it outlines all the problems, service dates, days in the shop, financial numbers, names, fixes that didnt work and so on.
My offer from FCA netted me a few hundred dollars. Was it worth the effort yes because their POS is going to be gone and once it’s done I’ll never have to deal with FCA again. 100% regret the purchase.

Thanks for pointing out that the retention team is the only way to get it done. May I ask how did you get to the retention team?
I was going to go by Carmax and see what they offered, but before doing so I checked my VIN at the KBB site. When it pulled up my vin it said that there were '4 historical records' so the vehicle is definitely marked. Guess a buy back or lemon is still the only option to get most of our money back.

I requested twice that they buy the vehicle back during my 3rd trip to the dealer and was denied. Once it was there for 35 or so days I called my Jeep Wave customer service person and let them know the vehicle was in violation of the lemon law in my state and informed them I would be sending my letter. This is when my case was moved.
The buy back offer did not come until I got my vehicle back from their 3rd fix attempt. My cam shaft was off 2 degrees supposedly. Their fix did not work and I still get p300 auto start/stop. I don’t think it would have mattered if it were fixed or not honestly and believe they would have bought it back either way.

It took about a week to get their offer and it will take about 20 days to get the check. I never requested a new vehicle and was never offered one. I was never offered an extended warranty, trade in allowance ect. They just offered to buy it back.

My manufacture sticker on door jam is 021206.

Just to clarify, the retention team is who decides if you are eligible for a buyback. Once approved, you go to the re-aquisition team. That team looks at your state lemon laws and decides what the will and won't offer you based on how they are written. In Washington State, they have to pay for all improvements I have made that I have receipts for. They are also required to repurchase or replace the vehicle. I chose the latter. Now 2 months in, the dealership and FCA are squabbling about the format of the paperwork.

My build date in January 2020. Purchased May 15 2020. First CEL 2 weeks into ownership for engine misfires. Service 3 times without a fix. Sent letter required by Fla Lemon Law. Fourth repair attempt did not fix the problem. So I am working with FCA for a replacement. Does anyone have a 2020 with a build date June 2020 or later with the CEL issue caused by engine misfires?

While I was trying to create the spreadsheet, I noticed some of the entries were off. For example one entered the production date of 9/20 but the entry was in Aug. I tried to review some of what I captured and all of the ones that might have had a later than June I am skeptical on. I know that my manager bought his the same time I did and his production date was June/2020 and has had no issues with about 2k on it. I was thinking of jumping into the JL forums to get a similar survey going and see if we can find the "sweet spot" as far as this production dates go..
