I am getting GARBAGE gas mileage on my JTRD so far. The highest I've seen is 22 MPG. Of course, I've done a ton of highway trips (trash diesel tanks fuel economy) and loaded it down with a RTT, winch and rack. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what. I have over 3k miles on it now.

Also feels super bouncy (like unsafe bouncy) on the highway at 65-75 on some of these CO interstates (I-70). It's been amazing offroad though.

enjin, hope to see you on the trails in Moab sometime! On highway ride, is it just the rear, or both ends of the vehicle? My JTRD has been super bouncy, especially on the back side, since I picked it up. I am really surprised. I am waiting for the diesel version of the Teraflex 3.3s to put on the truck, but the stock Fox shocks should be way better than they are.

IT stuff
It seems to be the whole thing. It's less bouncy in the back now with all the stuff in and on it, but I know what you mean.

Adam from rock krawler looking under diesel gladiator to take measurements for the pro x 3 inch lift to convert to a 4 link suspension from a stock 5 link and remove the rear track bar. At this time he mentioned the DEF tank may be in the way. So in a few weeks getting there 3 inch lift but may have to wait on the 4 link. For now it will be lifted but remain 5 link on the diesel.

2121 rubicon diesel. New warn Xeon 10s winch was installed by dealer. Notice factor 55 had to be xxl size and mopar adapter plate was added behind fairlead. I had to get longer bolts 7/16 x14 course thread x2 inch length because bolts with winch do not account for adapter plate. Lastly the dealer had to move the radiator bracket to get the winch in. They said never have to on the gas engines.

Just got back from a 100+ mile trip to pick up lottery tickets. Had adaptive cruise set at 75mph and still managed to average 30mpg. So impressed with this truck! Gonna have to buy it some mods when my numbers come in.

Hey Advguy - I think the ARE top looks great.
I have essentially the same truck in billet silver - love it.

Question - what does the top weigh?
Im trying to keep all the mod weights down as the max payload is only 1209lbs.
Thanks

Upgraded my badge to the RAM EcoDiesel badge today. I think it looks much better and now people can actually read it. Also pulled the "Sport" sticker off the tailgate.

Thanks! I actually bought it for $5 off a guy in PA that has a ton of used RAM parts. I was there with a friend for another reason, we got to talking and he said he had a badge off a totaled truck.

Anyway, I just did a search online and this seems to be the same one: https://www.moparpartsinc.com/p/Ram...90/68164914AB.html?clickSource=relatedProduct

*Edit* Looks like they have a black one too, without the chrome: https://www.moparpartsinc.com/p/Ram...QCh2UzrHg6ZtzJZXLSqWSyxYqJsSTmUxoCRUUQAvD_BwE

@jwalt Would you mind sharing what you found at the RAM 1500 site? I don't want to discount the value in the amount of work that likely went into creating these dashboards, but damn is it tedious!

I just picked up my JTSSD on 1/18/21 and ordered the VEEPEAK OBDCheck BLE+ to use with my iPhone along with OBD Fusion and it works GREAT!

However as I'm sure you found out, it can be a dizzying nightmare to figure out what PID's to use, what they all mean, which bank, etc (or at least it has been for me being my first diesel vehicle).

My dashboard looks very archaic with the default looking gauges. I've put every SAE PID on the dashboard just to see what each one does (inlet vs outlet temps, compressor vs turbine temps, DPF inlet vs outlet temps, DPF regen status, etc).

The biggest thing I found was a post about the Torque Pro app that showed a way you can create a User Defined PID within OBD Fusion to show soot level or "DPF %".

Consequently the first time I went to test it, I looked at it and it said 100% at 195 miles and I was like  what did I do!?!? When I flipped to the other dashboard where I have DPF regen status (which I've seen go to 1.0 numerous times and varying speeds above 30mph) and also regen type that I've never seen come off 0.0 and now was all of sudden 1.0 (which tells me Active regen vs Passive). I looked over at the DPF bank 1 inlet and outlet temps and what do you know they are 1225F input and 1178 output respectively. So I knew I needed to hit highway speeds until this finished and about 10 minutes later the soot level showed 8.5%. DPF regen status went back to 1.0 not long after but the DPF regen type stayed at 0.0 (telling me it's in Passive regen).

Anyways, I learned an important lesson only 1 week into ownership with a bunch of short trips and that having OBD Fusion with the Bluetooth adapter potentially prevented me from having to make a trip to the dealer to force an Active regen!

Moral of the story, get yourself a gauge to at least keep track of your soot % and regen status and type!

I ordered with the factory MT tires. I know that the pumps started with the "winterized blend" of diesel in Oct but I am averaging about 19-20. I tried a couple of ounces of Hot Shots diesel treatment in my last couple of tanks and I seem to get another mile or 2 on average. I have been playing with my OBD fusion app and found a template from a Ram 1500 site that I have been playing with to monitor DPF usage. All sorts of interesting Data. Still changing some gauges to better find the regen cycles. The second picture is a few gauges I changed to play with over the next few weeks. I think delta P is the pressure differential in front of and behind the exhaust particulate filter.
