Just got mine back today. It feels MUCH better especially doing 85 on the freeway. No more wandering, I also put in the fox 2.0 ATS stabilizer and set it to the halfway point, the truck feels like a different vehicle now. Just waiting on my Clayton 3.5 Overland kit to come in next week and Ill be set for a while.

Wander is wander, no direction to a wander. You may mean it leads or pulls to the right.
Wander is having trouble keeping it between the lines.
Pull means it wants to go either left or right.

A pull can be caused by several things including one tire inflation higher than the other, the tire itself causing it, or camber, or the steering gear itself (ODD for the new steering gear to do that)

Steering wheel not centered - some have noted that but there's no reason replacing a steering gear would lead to the wheel not being centered unless the ORIGINAL was so bad that now with a good steering gear that is properly set as far as preload, play and so on the wheel is now off centered.
You can make them fix that - or set the wheel to center yourself.
There's no alignment to be done on these except checking and setting TOE-IN and centering the steering wheel.
You can't set camber and caster is also set with the control arms. To change caster you have to replace or change the lower control arms and to change camber means massive work - that's set at the factory.
How to....on the center the steering wheel myself?

Got the fix drives like it supposed to. Before and after pictures. Left the fox stabilizer and sector brace on and they reinstated the brace and never mentioned anything.

That is some sketchy ass $hit right there! Its one thing to argue about doing or not doing the work as the TSB requires but to tell a customer it was done and to actually not have done it is FRAUD plain and simple. I for one would like to know the name and city of this scumbag stealership so I make a note to never do business with them.

What does the work order say...? And what is the part number on the steering box? I took a picture before and after so I could verify it was done.

UPDATE: So I finally get the Service Advisor call me back. He says that management feels it drives fine and so they do not need to do the steering box replacement. I pressed on wanting it done since I don't agree. He mentions that they can't do it cause if they take off the part and send the old steering box back to Chrysler and they deem the part was not broken, that Chrysler will charge them for the part. I don't buy that, but not sure what to do next. @JeepCares Could you chime in and give me some advice? Is this true? Also should I just chalk it up and go to another dealership? Thanks.

Been waiting since September 2nd...just called and there is no ETA for the steering gear box. The most frustrating part is the poor customer service, every estimated date has come and gone and they never call me with any updates, I'm always calling them and explaining everything for the first time it seems like. I wish I could start over at another dealer but I'm too far in now.

Take it to an honest dealership. This is ridiculous and if the customer complains about the symptoms on their TSB, they have to fix it. Period!

This isn’t subjective for the dealership to give their opinion how they think your expensive Jeep should handle. It’s a safety concern from their customer and should actually have been a recall.

I had zero issues, no second guessing and the work was done correctly on mine. Take it someplace else where the customer is always right, especially when they have the TSB paperwork showing it needs to be fixed.

Which dealership in Houston is giving you this run around?

MacHaik Katy Freeway. Since I bought my Jeep from them, I figured they would help. Have you had it done? And if so which dealership you use?

I had the TSB done at River Oaks Jeep on Kirby Drive. They originally gave me crap about my Synergy steering brace, but JeepCares jumped in and helped me solve that problem.

Was gonna give Helfman Jeep off Katy Freeway a try. I have used them for my Jeep Grand SRT before. If they give me a run around will try River Oaks. Just sad that we Loyal Jeep owners have to play games to get warranty work done. I have never experienced this from other brands before.
