Yes. I have a message into @JeepCares to assist. I used the local dealer for the repair as the selling dealer is over an hour away. Trying to save a trip appears to have cost me more in the long run. I’m now going to try and coordinate the correct repair through the selling dealer.

Just a quick update. I talked to the service advisor, he said they installed the parts they were sent. After installing they saw there were new part #’s that should have been ordered. I was told there was nothing more they could do,that this is going to be a recall, and I should wait until I receive a recall notice. I questioned why I was not told this yesterday and was told they were going to call me today.
Thats straight up Bull S@#t! Get Jeepcares involved and find a new dealer!

I’m upset to say the least, I’m trying not to let it get the better of me though.

If anyone is a Seinfeld fan you’ll get this; “serenity now” is running through my mind.

Wow! That really is BS...be sure you ask to receive their survey. I'll bet you won't be giving they all 10's on this one...

Complete the survey and find a new dealer...

How long does it take for JeepCares to reply back once you reach out to them? My dealer is playing dumb and said that they have not heard of anyone having issues with steering.
Where the heck is that dealer, Boondocks, Iowa?
Have they bothered to look at or for the TSB?
Doesn't matter what they've heard of, they are to research and find solutions - the TSBs are a reference, sort of like a medical catalog of what drugs treat what ailments.
Do they know how to use their computer system?

I provided them with a copy of the TSB when I took it in for my first visit. I specifically highlighted the pertinent parts including the part #s that needed ordered. I think there are definitely some shenanigans going on. The selling dealer has stepped up and they are ordering the correct parts today. They are however concerned about not getting reimbursed because another dealership has already submitted a claim.

If anyone is having a poor experience with their dealer or trouble with parts, please send our team a message. If you have had the TSB completed and it did not make a difference in your steering, please let us know.

Please keep us updated on the status of your steering.

I had my steering box replaced and it drives so much better, (no comparison). This should be a no brainer for Jeep to just replace these.

So I’ve been waiting since August 18. Last Friday the dealer called and said my gear box had arrived and we scheduled the install for tomorrow, 12/9. Couldn’t believe it was finally going to happen.

they just called me and canceled the appointment. Apparently they hadn’t ordered the bolts. So now I’m on a wait list for the bolts.

the dealer has been polite to work with. But this has been a frustrating process.

As long as they are forgetting things, you should make sure that they get the nut AND the fluid ... Mine was left low on fluid ...

Also remind them to recenter the steering wheel as it will no longer be centered after the box is replaced ... Trust me on this. I had a new box installed twice ...

whats odd is that I was looking back through my notes on my interactions with the dealer about this...I had called them back on 9/8 to get an update and they said at that time the gear box was easy to get but they were waiting on the bolts. So they know the bolts are separate and required.

the last few times I’ve checked on the status, I’ve gone by in person. I find you get better answers when you’re standing there. They showed me the wait list they have. There were a dozen people after me. At the current pace they’ll never get a new gear box... then again I might not get one either.

I haven't read through all of this, but Jeep Cares has been blowing me up to get the new TSB done. They've been contacting me since I complained about my steering in the past. They set up an appointment and expedited the new box being ordered. They took over the ordering and the part is supposed to be here a few more days. I don't care because they put me in a loaner and I'm in the process of moving and the minivan is actually super handy and kinda nice (35th anniversary limited). As long as they get it done soon and the updated box makes a big improvement like they say it does, I'm very happy with this level of customer service.
Perhaps I spoke too soon. My dealership says they can’t track the parts ordered since it was ordered by corporate and it keeps getting delayed. I called Jeep Cares this morning. They finally called me back. They are shooting for next week for the part to arrive. They keep saying part, so I’m concerned about the bolts arriving late, like others have stated. I’m calling the dealership tomorrow to see if my Jeep is taken apart or not and it I can get it back in the meantime. I knew it sounded too good to be true.

It’s not the dealerships fault. This was all coordinated by Jeep Cares. They contacted me. They set the appt, and they ordered the parts. The dealership can’t even track the order like the normally can. It’s Leith Chrysler Jeep on Capital. They’ve been great.

I messaged Jeep Cares after I found that my steering box order had been cancelled. They called me back and said they were working on getting the part. A week later the dealer called and said it was in. Going in Friday for the work. Fingers crossed... I've hardly been driving the Gladiator cause the steering is so annoying.
