Jeep Considering Off-Road Turn Assist and 4-Wheel Steering Features?

Here's a video of the turn assist on a Gladiator. It also works with a trac-loc differential, but the locking axle will hop a little more.
Having used it today, this new addition is awesome.

My main enjoyment with off roading are the challenges associated with the journey. Where is the line that we cross when we go to so many technology advancements that the journey is no longer a challenge?...when we cross that line...it is now all about the destination...might as well fly.

There will always be tougher trails, all this does is move the line where it becomes more challenging really. Not much different than bigger tires, higher lift, or longer shocks as far as making it "too easy"

I think off-road turn assist would be a great addition for a longer off-roader, like the Gladiator. The 4 wheel turn seems like too much complication vs usefulness.

An extended gas tank would be more useful to a lot of overlanders and towers.

Received an email from Jeep to complete a market survey on 2 future product considerations to be added to Wrangler.

“Turn Assist” or 4-wheel steering.

I honestly would love the idea of Turn Assist (locking a rear wheel) to be added to the JL’s. No more having to do 3 point turns in the woods. ?

I’d say no to both Personally. Id never need either. Can you imagine what prices Jeep would ask for either of these options?

Totally get where you are coming from, but couldn't the same be said for any mod that increases the capability of our trucks? Heck, even generationally we've seen huge improvements in the capability of the Wrangler platform.

When your rig becomes more capable you just hit harder trails. Eventually you find the limit of enjoyment.
