Apologies for the year-old necro, but what was the poke on that setup, WhiteJt8541? With those La Paz series 29s? Looks like a great setup.
Sorry I just saw this post.
By poor are you referring to how far out the wheels extend past the fender? If so it’s about 2”.

How about Clayton???
Very similar. I believe Clayton is heavier duty as it's thicker steel and square instead of round but that also adds weight. I sincerely doubt you'd have issues with MC's strength though... You'd rip mounts off before the arms break.

Question for anyone who painted their arms... it sort of kills me to get rid of the signature MC look but I know I'm going to scratch up the arms and would have to touch up anyway. Did you just acetone, prime, then paint or is there anything special with the coating I should know before spraying?

I have no experience with them, as they have come into light as a favorite brand only recently.

Seems like there have been very few negatives about them posted so i can only assume good things.

If I recall correctly, they said not to do any type of sanding as it removes the coating that’s on it now. I was going to take mine and get them powder coated but the return on investment just didn’t seem worth it to me. YMMV.

I figure light damage is inevitable... it's just a question of whether I want to just do black and touch up or just hit them with clear once I scratch through the zinc.

I know they said no sanding or corrosive dips... really just wondering if anyone has done anything in particular and how it's held up.

i thought about going blue or red with mine originally. Never thought about clear coating them.

Yeah I like the generally subtle build look but at the same time, that gold is a pretty unique look. My wife hates it though so that might conclude the clear vs black debate.

I was going to fab my own and weld them in to avoid having too many loose parts when working the suspension offroad. I had planned on making them 2", I figured that height coupled with the MC 1-1.5" rear springs would sit me about right. However I'm not a big fan of spacers, so when I saw the JT specific Synergy springs I jumped on the 4" ones - I think they were $250ish a pair. Way happier going that route.
How are the 4" Synergy springs working out for you? Are you running Rocksport shocks?

I'd like a little more lift in the back - looking at either subbing in the Synergy 4's or Clayton 3.5s.

From pictures the Clayton 3.5s are massively taller so you'd have a hell of a rake with the MC springs up front. I'd love some feedback on the Synergy rears as well though because I have a constant ~300lbs in the rear and I'd still like a slight rake once Jeep does this steering box thing and I get the lift on there.

I have the same issue. I have the 3.5 MK gamechanger on a rubicon loaded down with a bed rack, tent, and cargo always in the bed. Almost no lift in the back. I know MK is working on taller springs for the rear, but said it would be a few months until they are out. They are supposed to be stiffer as well. I have been highly considering Clayton rear springs if not all 4. Their ride height looks awesome. Clayton said their front actually sits about 4.25 vs about 3 in the front I'm getting from the MK lift. I have a steel bumper and winch as well. Decisions, decisions.

Yeah I’m doing the MC springs now but when I step up to 37s after these 35s wear out, highly likely I’ll chuck the Clayton springs in all around to give it a bit more. Need to figure that out sooner than later to get my shocks dialed in - I’m fairly certain I’m not going to be happy with the MC ones because they don’t give much up travel.

No complaints with the springs, the shocks aren't too bad - nowhere near as nice as high dollar models, but fine for me.
