I like those....have you looked at The Shrockworks sliders? They are extremely strong as well. They are made in Houston and I was able to pick them up and save the freight. They come powder coated and even with shipping I think you would be lower in price and get just as good of protection......

UGH. Why does Gen Right have to be exactly what I am looking for?! With shipping, tax, and install it's gonna be like $2,500! But I also was watching some trails we plan to go on where you need to use the slider as a pivot at some points. And I just told my wife you can save $1000 on the slider but then it doesn't do what you need and you end up with $4,000 in body damage.

Gen Right checks every box... frame only, bare metal, solid tubes (thicker than anyone else at .25" not 0.1875"), protudes far enough I don't need any side molding panels, hides the pinch seam, and has a wide step for the wife and kid.

Wow those are heavy. What's the mounting situation?
Appears they mount just like the ones you posted. I installed myself...no drilling, not too bad. I also had a set on my TJ and they never failed to be just what I need when I needed it..

Rusty's offers two different styles, one of which is similar to what you have pictured.

For anyone that has the RockHard 4x4 sliders - I'm interested in opinions regarding angled up vs. angled down. Does either version work better as a side step too? I'm 5'10" and with a Mopar 2inch lift and 35s I'm just a tich too short to get out of my vehicle gracefully.
Pics below are from their website. I'm leaning toward an angled down version, in bare metal so I can coat with line-x before installation... any thoughts?

My wife (former gymnast) at 5'2" looks good getting in and out no matter what... so I may not put a step on the passenger side😁
I know people like their angled up versions like Ace, LOD, RH.. but I vote angled down.
I have flat sliders, and I think the RH angled down would be more useful. I’m 5’9 but when I use my step, it almost puts me too high to get into the Jeep and I hunch to clear the door. The upside is my short legs reach the step getting out.
I think angled down would be a much more natural step up into the Jeep, though I may not be able to reach them on the way out

Angled down is a better step. Angled up is better rock protection and clearance.

Did you have to remove the body mount bolts?

Just added Rock Hard angled up to the Gladiator this evening. Other than the pucker factor from the possibility of breaking a body mount bolt, it was extremely easy and I was able to do it by myself in about 30-40 min (already had the stock sliders off). I was a little worried about the height using them as a step but I had no issues and my 9 year old was able to use them as well. Yes, they are body mounted but they seem like they will take some abuse! Pics aren’t great, finished when it was dark and didn’t take pics until the Grand Cherokee was back in the garage.

Thanks - great pics. I see you added some grip tape. Was planning on doing the same. Putting in my order right now though I am getting angled down.
