What are the 2 speakers you’re showing me here? The all black speakers look like what are in the sound bar, and yea I’ve confirmed they’re the same as the ones in the soundbar without premium audio.

That 2nd much nicer looking speaker looks like the kicker upgrade. Is that right?
The dash and sound bar are the same speakers. The nicer one is the kicker upgrade. I put 2 each in the dash and sound bar.

Yea so not sure what you meant on your original par. My post said that the premium and non premium speakers were the same, which they are. Nothing premium about the speakers in the gladiator.

Yea I think you misunderstood. The kickers are an upgrade. There is. I difference between speakers in the stock vs Alpine sound systems. Like he said, a small amp (that may make the oem speakers sound a little better) and a subwoofer (which for sure makes it sound better) are the only differences.

Just picked mine up today. A few things to come this week but did a few little things today. Made silver things black. And two black things red, but may lose those red covers. May debadge too. If all goes well tomorrow will get 1.5” leveling kit and nerf steps installed. BAK revolver 4s has been on a FedEx truck for over a week, and every day tracking says due by end of the day, then when it doesn’t arrive they move it back a day. That’s what I’m wanting to get put on most.

So if I already have the alpine system is it not worth looking at easy drop in speaker upgrades? My half deaf arse is just trying to hear my music while driving with the doores off

I hope so, since I just bought 4 infinity 6.5”s to put into the sound bar and knee panels (with SSV adapters and metra pods)!
I put the 3.5”s in the dash which was super easy, and I think they sound a little better. (I did have to swap positive/negative wires in the metra adapters as others have noted). Those 3.5”s were the test before ordering the bigger ones which take more time and customization to install.
They have good sensitivity so they might be a little louder and shine through a little more than stock, so now I’m excited to hear the 6.5”s added in. I’m not expecting miracles since I’m not adding a stronger amp. Even expensive speakers won’t sound any better if they don’t have enough power to drive them.
I was initially thinking of adding in another small powered sub under the seat, but at this point I don’t think it’s worth it for me. I think the alpine system is pretty decent if you’re not going super loud, I’m just trying to get a little bit better sound out of it without messing with a bunch of electronics.

When I find time to install everything I’ll post my thoughts..

Rerouted the power line to my Alpine SubWoofer. Instead of routing it through the passenger side drain plug, which completely negates the purpose of the drain plug, I ran it through the passenger side firewall.

Now that I know how and where to go through the firewall I can now set in motion other modifications like installing the OEM auxiliary switch bank

Learning as I go along.
