Thanks for the reply. I know this about wheels but am curious if you are satisfied with drivability of the 37’s.
This will be my 4th installation of these 37 inch GoodYear MTR/Ks.
They balance well and have lasted quite well with 5 tire rotations every 3000 miles, rebalanced every 12000 miles.
The current set on my 2014 JKURX are pushing almost 30k and it is my DD. The other thing I look at in tires is tread depth. These have a little more than the others.

Hi all,
For your situational awareness you can buy the factory spare wheels from several dealers online. Shop around, I found the best balance of price and shipping from a dealer in Texas at myoemmoparparts. Paid $400 shipped for four wheels. The part number is 4755290AA.

I couldn’t find any good pictures of all the markings on these wheels anywhere online and had to do a LOT of research to make sure they were correct so I wanted to put some pics up for anyone else looking at these factory steel wheels. Be advised they are still 7.5” wide so if you want to go up to 37x12.50r17 do it at your own risk. I’m going to run kenda klever 35x10.50r17 so these wheels are ideal for my needs.
Anyway, here are the pics. I used a paint crayon to fill the stampings so they’d be easier to read.

I'm wondering if there is any kind of "Dog Dish" style hub cap that that would fit these wheels?

As you all know Wizzard005 posted some pictures of 2 Gobi color Gladiators from a new Fast & Furious movie. And of interest to me is the steel wheels this one rides on. And as you will see from his under carriage pictures of the spare it’s the exact same wheel. So I went to to Jeep build site and I built a Rubicon with the expensive wheels as an option. And it looks like you only get just 4 of those wheels. It shows that a steel wheel is what the spare is. So I then looked at a Los Angeles show Rubicon and the spare on that one appears to be the same steel wheel. If you want a spare that looks like the other 4 tires then I don’t think you will get that unless you make your dealer make that a part of the deal. I just don’t like having mismatched looking wheels on my ride.
I recently found out the same thing. Although I’ve never been a big fan of rotating tires, since I come from mostly running Dually’s or sports cars with different size front and rears, I thought that since the Jeep’s I now own would benefit from rotation. Found out the matching wheel cost $352 from the dealer. WOW!

I have been looking for one but the spare wheel doesn’t have any nubs inside or outside to hold a cover. I have purchased some old fashioned spring steel hub cap retainers that I could mount between each lug nut, but haven’t located a moon cap with dimensions that look to fit.

I've found all different sizes and styles of Dog Dish hub caps. The ones I really like are from the Kaiser Willys web site. They are 10.5" Overland Willys hub caps that require clips. I don't know if they will fit the stock spare wheel, though. US Steel wheels makes a smoothie Rat Rod steel wheel and will drill for clip mounting, but that defeats my purpose of getting away with out spending a fortune.

Hi,
Would the Mojave have a different steel spare, because of the offset needed to avoid the 2.5” shock?

Hey gents,
I decided the extra garage space was worth buying four tmps sensors from the dealer and had my tires mounted today. My build sheet finally populated so I’m thinking my truck will be here in under a month now. Some asked for pics once the tires were mounted so I’m adding them. Looks like the Kendas are between 34 1/4 and 34 3/8 off the vehicle mounted on the factory steel spare wheels. Feast your eyes!
I’ll probably stick these in a build thread too even though my truck isn’t here yet. Threw one in with a wheel/tire next to my bike for a fun comparison too.

I bought 4 steel wheels for $79 each and free shipping. I am painting them to match my Gator Rubicon. I am torn on going with 37’s or 35’s.

Love that look. I want to do the same thing. Any pics with those on the vehicle?
Where did you get your Gator paint? I've only found the 5oz spray cans online. Seems like it'll take a lot of those to do four wheels....

Should be easy enough for any paint shop to mix it up. I'm also interested to see how some big shoes fit the steelies.
