I got mine right when all that snow hit through Texas and up here into Kentucky. I was really nervous when I went to test drive I'd heard terrible reviews. People online were acting like it was the most clap-trap vehicle on the market. When I test drove it was in the evening, getting dark in a town I wasn't familiar with. It was cold as hell too. I drove it with my wife and felt like everything was OK, the size was right, it looked cool, the price was where I wanted it. So I got it. The parking lot had frozen over by the time we got out.
The next day I looked out and there it was still in my driveway. I'm maybe different than alot of people. Most folks just see vehicles as kind of a tool just to get from point a to b. For me it's a way that you connect with (or disconnect) from the world. To me its something you can use to make memories with your family. It can have no soul or heartbeat but it can also be the key to finding it.
I've loved everything about it. (Except that body bolt on the front passenger side!) Sure you can pour alot of cash into doo-dads and things thats one way to think about it. Or... you can customize things to take your life's journey to the next level. That's the beauty of it really.

I've never gotten the hate. I'll never understand disliking someone because it has 2 more doors or the wrong headlight shape. Let's all keep moving forward in our own journeys.

Well said……I’ll be honest after a terrible start to 21, lost my niece (15) to suicide from COVID lockdowns, my mother passed first week of April and had to put my dog down 3 weeks later. My Gladiator has become my personal grieving space shutting out the world for comforting adventures. Most times I don’t even have the radio on, just conversations with God for promptings and direction for a new life without those I’ve lost. It will take time. My Gladiator may not have a soul but it is my window to the world I need right now. Thank you for sharing your view.

Sorry for your losses, those are all difficult on their own.
I got mine when my dad died. He was in a bad car wreck and I think his last words were "I don't have any brakes." He was in critical condition for weeks, broke 13 bones. In his 80s. Never got to talk to him again. Weren't allowed in due to covid. They'd let us call in the evenings and put us on speaker phone. We sat in the parking lot while they put pins in his legs (both broken). He ended up having a heart attack then a stroke and that was it. I'm determined to make this year better than last, whatever it takes.

I’m also sorry for your loss Nick. It is a difficult experience of life. But maybe like me, it may only be a truck or inanimate object but it’s utility allows you the adventure to heal like no other vehicle can with God as a co-pilot. That in a nutshell is why I love it. Of course the community that comes with it.

Had ours since August 1, 2020. 19k miles.

It was the 5”. My Rubicon has the 7”. No problem.
I think the 7 and 8.4 have the GPS tied to the radio which keeps it on time.

Still figuring that out, but IT for now!
I've had mine for seven months now. Simply put I love it. This is my first Jeep of any kind, so I came not knowing anything about Jeeps in general. Are they perfect? No, not by any stretch of the imagination. There are several things I wish it had, could do or do different, but I still love it. I find it functional for it's size and I always enjoy driving it. Comfy? It's OK! MPG? Don't ask, but surprised when I can get over 18'ish mpg on long highway rides. I've had no mechanical issues to date outside of having the steer box replaced via recall. I've had some work done to it for better off roading and steering, but it wasn't necessary. I like it so much I'm actually thinking about trading it in when the 4xe version comes out. I'm even trying to convince my wife in trading in our 4Runner for the 4xe Wrangler. So yes, glad I got it, but I can't wait for an all electric version of these to be available.

At 17,000 miles. Besides a few quality issues I feel Jeep could easily have fixed before releasing. As i mod and improve it i'm loving it more all over again. Radio and it's OEM replacements drove me mad for awhile but looking forward to tossing the horrendous base 5' and upgrading to something nicer. Once my PRP seat covers come it it's going to look great.

Took delivery in June 2019. Launch Edition truck and the ordering, build time, and delivery were all very positive. I owned two Wrangler Saharas in the 90s, the second I bought new. That experience was not a positive one so I hadn't even considered a Jeep since.

I was shopping full size trucks. Roush F250, Raptor, Power Wagon, I looked at pretty much everything before the Gladiator was announced.

Made the decision to order it, knowing there would be things I don't love, and I have been far more impressed than I expected to be. It's comfortable, has presence, I appreciate the styling, really like it lifted with 35s. The tech is solid without being overbearing. The engine is mediocre, but I knew this going in. I can force some water in with the pressure water, but no major leaks. The drive shaft recall impacted mine, otherwise it's been 17k problem free miles. I installed Steer Smarts front end, but the wander and play has gotten worse. Plan to do the TSB.

All vehicles have issues. I don't love Jeep service departments, so that makes resolving issues more challenging.

On the whole, it's unique. Has character. Nothing else in the truck market like it. Not without it's flaws. If forced to replace it though, I would at least try the TRX.

13 months, 23,000 miles, and I still can't stop staring and talking about it. It's almost an obsession. I look forward to every camping trip, every wheeling trip with my girlfriend and/or son, every time I take the dogs for a ride, every sunny topless day, and every snowy day where I might get the chance to help pull someone out of a ditch. I've owned over 30 vehicles, and this is by far my favorite.

17 months or 36100 miles worth. I still get a smile when I look at it. Building memories with it.
