Gladiator buyers - have you owned a Wrangler?

There is a 2005 TJ Sport 6spd sitting in our driveway. It has my wife's name on the title and reg. but it is OURS. My dad had a yellow 83 CJ7 Renegade when I was a kid. Iron duke with a 4spd. slower than crap, but it would go pretty much anywhere. I got away from Jeeps as I hit my teen years and got into the "sport truck" scene, I NEVER considered myself a "minitrucker" because I wasn't about the slammed life, I just wanted it lowered a bit for better handling. After that I got back into jeeps. a 97 & 99 XJ, both 5spd, a 2005 LJ RUBI and the wife's 05 TJ sport. I liked having the half soft top setup on the LJ. But after buying a house I needed a "REAL" truck. I'm now on my 3rd 11-14 F150. I've always said if Jeep builds me a wrangler truck with a usable bed and real towing capacity, I'll be a buyer.

My Gladiator is my 7th Jeep. 2 of my previous 6 were Wranglers (a TJ and a JK).

I always wanted a Wrangler, never bought one. Always wanted a truck, never bought one. BAM!!! Day came when I could get the ole 2 for 1 special...and really it's much, much more than a Wrangler and a truck. I tend to drive my vehicles till the wheels fall off so if I would have bought a Wrangler when I wanted to I never would have bought a JT. Glad I waited.

I've had a TJ and 2 JK's before the Gladiator. Traded in a 2010 soft-top 2 door JK for the JT. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Owned a 99 TJ and a 2010 JKU. Both were sport configurations. My Gladiator is an Overland and the difference in ride and comfort quality is a huge difference. I love wranglers but the gladiator is much more functional at this point in my life.

Rented JKs and JLs which is how I got the bug.

Previously owned 2wd pickup trucks and a Miata. Commute on motorcycles.

I needed a bad/winter weather commuter. Weekend off roader. Bike hauler w/o trailer. Convertible.

The JT checks all the boxes.

This will be my first Jeep period. I've only had countless BMW M3s and M5s. My wife has an X5. This Gladiator will replace my Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti Sport. I've had a 911 Turbo and Panamera Turbo... this is quite a horse of a different color. I don't like the Wrangler but the Gladiator really revs my engine. Took 2 test drives and I made a deposit. I can't wait. Another 2 weeks or so.

Literally just sold my ‘12 JKU on Monday to a local dealer and picking up my ‘21 Sting grey Mojave tomorrow. 35’s on morphic wheels on the way any day now.

Before our Gladiator, we loved our 2018 Sport Unlimited JK named suxieQ. We towed an r-pod 189 travel trailer. She was well customized and we went everywhere with our two Australian Shepherds in her. We now have a sea eagle fsk-16 inflatable bass boat that goes in the bed of our new 2020 Gobi Gladiator JT! (straight trade for the 3000 mile loaded JT). Next bigger tires and winch bumper. Then out in the southwest some more!

Owned a 98 2 door, which my son now has....still! And a 2010 4 door, which was the trade in for the Gladiator. Hooah!

JK before my JT. Spent waaay too much money on it as well, only to have some kid run a red and me plow straight into him. Nobody was hurt my JK was never the same sold it and bought a new X5 until now
