Gladiator buyers - have you owned a Wrangler?

Purchased Brand New in 1997...and it grew and grew and grew. Still have it, and the thing is a mountain goat...

Our first Wrangler was that color and it was a '97 4.0 sport as well. We didn't mod it at all, other than soft doors, but it was still a tank. It impressed us with its stock capability. It was pretty basic with no ac, but it was fun. We'd still have it, but the rust starting taking its toll, and we didn't have the money to take care of it at the time. I wish we would have kept it. we both loved that wrangler. Fast forward a few years, and we now have a JT and a JK (with a compass in the intermittent years).

Had a 91 YJ. only drove it for about a year than sold it to a work friend. I was feeling the need for speed at the time.

My new 2021 Gladiator is my 7th Jeep. My previous 4x4s in order of ownership: 85 xj cherokee with GM 2.8L v6, 85 Toyota pickup, 84 Datsun, 85 xj with 2.5L, 71 Jeepster Commando, 85 Dodge Ramcharger, 97 TJ Wrangler 2.5L, 94 ZJ Grand Cherokee with 4.0L, 03 TJ Wrangler with 2.4L, 04 Ford Ranger FX4 II, 97 GMC suburban with 7.4L (still own).

Grew up riding in dad's 77 fullsize cherokee, 69 IH Scout, 78 CJ5 Golden eagle (what a jeep!).

I did not care for the IFS models when offroad.

I've owned 2 Wranglers prior to Vlad (also owned a 1985 Cherokee).

Both Wranglers were bought used. A 1991 that I drove until it died about 15 years later (it was driven by two of my kids).

In 2018 I bought a 2005 Wrangler Unlimited (Unlimited were longer 2 doors back then) with only 30K miles on it. Very sweet vehicle! Sold it to buy Vlad last year for several thousand more than I paid for it (with ~50K miles on it).

My first Jeep was a 2004 Sahara. Our current Jeep is a 2006 Wrangler Unlimited. It’s been a great vehicle, and we also tow it behind our motorhome.

Now just waiting for the Gladiator Rubicon Eco Diesel to be built. No plans to sell the Wrangler.

I have owned a four door in the past but Saturday I bought a 2016 2 door rubicon hard rock. Got a good deal and wanted something in a stick to teach my daughters. Still love my truck.

Still own 2 JK's. Traded my 2018 JLU for the 2022 JT. I REALLY wanted an AEV double-brute but couldn't afford the price tag on top of the Wrangler donor. When Jeep announced the JT, I would have pulled the trigger, but needed a new ride before they started production, so I bought the JL.

Nope never considered a Wrangler I've been a truck guy for the past 10 years or so. Loved the look of the Gladiator.

Owned a Wrangler for 14 years had 2 wranglers for about 6 years before getting my gladiator. Love having a truck probably won’t go back to a Wrangler.

Three Wranglers in my past, 1x TJ and 2x JK. Someday when my kids are gone and I have garage space again I’d love to have another 2-door, I love zipping around with the short wheelbase.

I currently have a 21 JT Sport S MT and an 07 JKU Rubi that I purchased new (the first new vehicle I ever owned) it has become my toy. I have owned a 78 CJ7 and an 88 YJ in the past along with various Wagoneers and Cherokees.

We've had 2 Wranglers... an '03 TJ and a '12 JKU Rubicon. We have a '23 Sahara on order with Gupton right now.
