My rear window (w/ sliding section) did get replaced by a 3rd party at the dealership’s request, and thankfully it’s made it through some serious rainstorms w/o a leak. Of course, the glass company damaged my top, and the dealer had to pay to have the hard top repaired and repainted. There’s some run to the paint but it’s nothing that will keep me up at night. Overall I’m satisfied with the fix, and am grateful for @JeepCares providing some oversight.

Found this issue as well, been waiting for the window to come in since February. Was hoping it was going to be here by now, as it looks like it is starting to discolor the plastic. Just going to weatherstrip it for now at this point, I don't need any more damage to the Jeep/contents.

Darlene, good news, our window just came in late last week. We won't have time to get it installed before vacay, so asked the dealer not to give ours away until we make it back in!

Dealer ordered new rear glass and updated me today that they expect the glass in next week.
Well "next week" didn't happen. My Gladiator is at the dealer today for the new glass and seal. The time to get glass is very slow.

Went to dealer, but the new glass had a chip in it. When they went to order another piece of glass, we found out that there is a new part number - an improved window. They expect it on 9 Jul. I'll see if I can get the part number to add to this thread once it comes in and I get to see it.

We took our 2021 Gladiator to Jeep in Gainesville, Fl today because of water that was located when we removed the portable Bluetooth speaker behind the rear seat.

We were told that a claim would have to be submitted for Jeep to approve the repair. Our gladiator only has 18,000 miles on it. After originally being told to bring the vehicle in for service, we drove to the dealer over 20 miles away, only be told the repair would have tobe approved.

We also have had the random misfire CEL four times on the vehicle and they are looking into that as well.

Jeep called back to let us know to drop the vehicle off to them on July 6th so it can go to a body shop.

Jeep - we are disappointed in the lack of initiative to handle these issues. Hardtop leak issues are a thing. So are random misfire issues.

Why is it that the customer is having to take a bulk of the initiative here?

Every person that buys a Jeep is free advertisement for Jeep - good and bad.

Must be a popular issue (in a bad way). Just dropped mine off today for the same leak. There a design flaw in gasket around window? Frustrating to hear so many w this “random” issue

You might be the first 21 I’ve seen post about this. Could be wrong but I can’t recall any other 21s yet.

No I was expecting that when we were told to bring it in that we wouldn’t be told to take it home and then bring it back in. That’s inefficiency on their part and an inconvenience on our part.

The service person was told on the phone that the back window was leaking. If they would’ve said that we would bring the vehicle in for some picture but you wouldn’t be leaving it, we wouldn’t have driven two vehicles.

The window should be a warranty item not an insurance item on their part. I understand they don’t get paid for warranty work and it’s just a way to get around financials. But seriously, the vehicle has <20k miles.

Im not really sure why that was so hard to understand. Maybe I made it that way.

So we received a phone call today from Shawn in service to say the window will take two to three weeks to come in and that it will have to be replaced. So we are in rainy season in Florida and that to me is unacceptable. Not like this is a new issue for Jeep. A leaking 2021 Jeep with <20k miles on it is unacceptable and we will deal with it. But the same Jeep has a random misfire issue that has been to the same service center four times and HAS NOT been fixed. This is unacceptable, unprofessional and just poor business.

@JeepCares - why is the customer service and communication so horrible with Jeep? When we took the vehicle back to Jeep the other day it was as no one knew what we were talking about.

Does anybody write things down when you are making a service request/complaint?

The customer service and service department are horrible. It’s an inconvenience to the customer to them, at least that’s the way we are treated.

I am going to lemon law this vehicle.

So, Jeep, @JeepCares, why doesn't Jeep initiate a service recall or bulletin to fix this issue. In this thread alone there are so many window leaks with bad service, long wait times and poor customer service - get ahead of this and initiate something instead of waiting for the customer to handle it. Between this, the poor handling (steering box fix) and the CEL random misfire issue - this has definitely been a disappointment.
