Campers!! What you pulling with your jt, or reasonable overland bed camper??

Old Army M416 with RTT - its really a chuckbox on wheels. Been on only a few trips with the 2021 JT (since I got it in Dec) but many many trips with my 2001 TJ. Even from NOVA to the Grand Canyon and back with a hitch I put on the wife's minivan (its a V6). Sorry but the pics here are pretty much all TJ centric...I will have to work on that next. Frankly the trailer has kept me from going full-bore overlander with the JT since I bring it all in the trailer (including solar)

I pull a 2000 Coleman Westlake pupup. I just pulled it from Ga to Fl, 363 miles each way, and it pulled great. It weighs a little over 3k.

That is a huge pop up! Assuming full of creature comforts? What kind of gas mileage pulling it? Also, max tow or regular tow package?

Well I've got a 16ft Scamp Deluxe T.T. about 3000 lbs but most of the time I grab Tent-Cot or hammock. Fast travel trip. I got the Scamp due to my LJ weight range and life cycle plus good resale if I ever want to. Scamps made in 70 and 80s are still in use let alone later ones. A lot of people "over trailer" there tow vehicle, a few on the Gladiator forum have too. The RV sales people will always tell you that you can pull what ever they can sell you. I look at a T.T. as a bed, bathroom and kitchen with just enough room in case of bad weather plus limited storage. Something to think about before getting a travel trailer (T.T.)

If I ever do get one, kitchen, sleeping, bathroom all in basic form Is what I want. And light/small as possible. I don't want big.

I’m in the process of putting my RTT on the top of my Canopy but I sometime also haul it on my overland trailer as well..

We went with the Taxa Cricket after looking at many many teardrops and similar. It's on the pricier end but it's very well engineered, can go pretty much anywhere, and the kitchen is inside, which I really like given we take it out year round. Sleeps two adults and two dogs without a problem and has an option for kid bunks that hang from the ceiling. No built in commode but we have a small Thetford that tucks underneath the bed and is easy to empty at dump stations. 2500ish lbs loaded.

It is definitely a big pop up. When I tell people it is big they don't believe me until they see it. It has two king size beds, a shower, and a toilet. I have the regular tow package, and based on the computer I was was getting 16.2 MPG pulling it between 65 and 70 MPH most of the trip. I thought that was great!

Yeah, that is stellar. Man, news like that is making me really excited about my gladiator.

Is that a max tow package? And pulls ok, meaning no issues, or gets the job done but is scary as hell?

2021 Geo Pro 12RK- Pulls great and weighs less than 1800#. Love it because most of my time is spent outside. Bears ? poop in the woods so I can too. Perfect for me!

2004 Stampede by Palamino Hybrid.
almost 5,000 pounds loaded.
pulls fine at just under 70 mph on highway.
Using a weight distribution hitch and sumo springs. Max Tow.
