I agree on this one, BUT I would say good luck trying to get it to happen since the TSB doesnt state anything for the JT above 2020.
Very true, but Jeep and/or the STAR team should start to see a pattern and connect the dots.
I guess I assume some others may see things as I do but can't expect even the Jeep engineers to see patterns and puzzles as I do. ;-)

Truck just went by and I ran out to talk to the tech. He said he doesnt drive it everyday, but he thinks it still has just a slight slight pull with the one he did today. Said he went over everything the other tech did, made sure the new gear software module was updated again, etc etc.

I told him it drove much better after he got ahold of it the other day, and it did. I also feel that if its not any worse than he had it the other day, that would be fine as it was much much better once he had got ahold of it, but still not 100%

After the second gear, if it still has a slight slight pull (per him - i havent driven it yet), im gonna chalk it down to maybe tire wear. I am thinking this tech is super super picky with his work.

Edit: I just drove it back home. I am happy with the outcome. It seems fine for the most part to me. There may be some right pull, but it is very very slight, and I could prob attribute what I did feel to maybe road.
Glad I can hopefully put this behind me.
As for it now compared to the aluminum gear, I wouldnt say it made a huge difference to me, as mine was fairly decent. The steering maybe has a stiffer / heavier feel, but that is about all.

Glad I can maybe stop worrying about this and move on.

My take on the original "aluminum" steering gear - if it's even less than perfect, for me personally, I'd have it replaced while there was warranty. Things like that never get better - they never "wear in" they always wear worse. If it was loose at all in the beginning, after 40K miles it can't be better.
I didn't think mine was bad originally until my wife made a couple of comments about it, and she drove it back from Indiana and said "I hope there's no cops behind us, they'll think I'm drunk", and later she said something like "can't keep it between the lines". Of course her Jeep is a Grand Cherokee - tight, quick, rack and pinion so at first that's what I figured it might be. I let the shop decide.
They decided it wasn't right.

Thats my whole situation. I was not in a rush to have it done honestly because i thought it drove pretty well. I had just mentioned the TSB in conversation while there for my free oil change, and next thing I know is they have the parts ordered and me scheduled to have it done.

It was on my list to MAYBE try to do in the future since there is obviously a reason for the new ones. Since they had me down, I figured why not, then it just turned to crap.

Now the truck is finally back to good for me, and I am now content for the time being, unless something else goes to crap that is not MY OWN doing.

Does anyone know if this issue was resolved for 2021 models?

I just got a 2021 diesel and it wondered with stock tires but really wanders at highway speeds when I put on 35s. I'm going to drive it for a while longer before I take any action, because I want to see if I get used to it and if it gets any worse. The short highway speed trip yesterday was rough. I felt like I was going to roll off the road.

I found the wander to be "fatiguing" - I was tired after the long drive because I had to be more than just alert - I had to keep correcting and making sure I was where I should be. That gets tiring after a while.

Yeah, that exactly. I have another car with lane assist and the difference in fatigue between the two is night and day.

The 2021 comes with the steering box mentioned inthe TSB. So the issue of the aluminum steering box was resolved for 2021.
That doesn't mean every steel steering box is good though.

Took the Gladiator in last week for the first oil change. Showed them the TSB and they claim they can't order the parts because of covid. Sounds like a line of BS to me.

Maybe it's true in California, who knows, but that excuse should be long-gone. Several of us have had it replaced this year.
They can order, when it gets there could be the issue.
Covid has nothing to do with ordering in a computer system.

Had my new 21 Mojave out for it's first long run at high way speeds to day for about 200 miles on the interstate. There were times it tracked ok but for most of the trip it defiantly was an attention getter, not sure I have ever needed to focus while driving like to today. Going to get it back to the dealer in a few weeks. I certainly was not expecting a BMW but damn. Let you know how it goes once I get it back the dealer, who knows I may get a new badge. Definitely a BS excuse. Covid never stopped from ordering anything. Might delay delivery.......
But they can order anything unless their regional depot says otherwise. Can't see that happening because even in the depths of this covid stuff they kept ordering - just that delivery or obtaining them was slow in some areas.
They're brushing you off and hoping you'll go away, IMO.

True. It's obvious they don't want to order the parts for whatever reason.
