How long of a wait time to receive my new jeep gladiator willys

Hello, I'm new to the site and new to jeep. Never owned a jeep always had a F150. Well with fords problems as of late etc etc I finally made the switch to jeep. I ordered a willys edition gladiator on 7/20 the dealer called on 7/21 and said I was assigned a vin number. No new information since then. Whats everyone's wait time been til the received their jeep. Dealer said 6-8 weeks. I'm hoping sooner lol

6-8 weeks is about the norm so long as some option does not go on a parts constraint.

Even with the chip shortage, it looks like customer orders are getting build priority over regular dealer stock orders.

I ordered a Sport S Max Tow back on June 23rd and had a VIN within a day… then it’s been radio silence ever since. I check in with dealer and Jeep chat usually once a week and it’s always just gathering the required parts to complete your build, but still nothing scheduled after over a month. I originally thought it was the gorilla glass option holding me up but based on other threads here it appears orders with gorilla glass are being scheduled so I have no idea why they’re not scheduling mine.
I was given a 5 to 8 week estimate when I ordered but with almost 5 weeks gone by and no build date I think that ship has sailed.

I think I hold the record on this forum. I ordered a fairly loaded Willys and got it in 16 days, including 2 weekends back in March. My understanding is that things are way more backed up these days though.

There has been a couple of 14 day claims from order to dealer delivery.

Do you mean knocking it out of the park?

With hundreds of thousands of orders for the Bronco, F150 Lightning, and Maverick, that's what it looks like to me. Though they are only actually delivering the Bronco at this point.

I ordered a sport s max tow with all the bells and whistles June 3 and it was at dealership June 25th… 22 days…. Luck of draw I guess

Same here, I suspect that the number of chips needed and their quality will have an impact as well. Just make sure you have the financing all lined up as I didn't get any warning that the truck was going to arrive until it did.

I need to bug my dealer. Ordered a Willys sport last Thurs, haven't heard back on the Vin yet. I'm hoping nothing weird happens with it being at the end of the build season.

Just answered you're own question. They aren't able to deliver. Chip shortage. Though honestly that impacting everyone.

Edit: and the broncos they are delivering are already having issues with tops, both soft and hard versions.

Thats odd. I ordered on July 5th and on July 21 I had a build date scheduled. Confirmed with the dealer and Jeep chat that they had all the parts and the Jeep is scheduled for build August 8. I also ordered gorilla glass as well.
