JL/JT has a much cleaner look

Dont you just love how the air intake of the Bronco faces forward, so when you hit a puddle hard water has a greater chance of being sucked in than where the intake on the side?

Oil changes look to be a bit harder, the cap is small and way back there

Biggest problem I see with the Furd is that when a guy pops the hood, there's no 442 lb/ft of rattling, whistling sweetness under there. #EcoDiesel

So the Jeep looks cleaner because they put an engine cover over the engine?

The JT also has an intake tube in the grill that runs up to the airbox

No, things are packaged better and the harnesses are more out of the way. not as much criss-crossing everywhere. Jeep engineers clearly gave a lot of thought to even this aspect

No, it goes below the air intake on the side. It is a channel that is separate from the air intake. It willl push air to the air intake area, but not into the air intake.

Pic is wayyyyyyyyyy too clean ?
JT pic is from mine at about 1k miles. It is only a little dirty as I do wash my engine bay lightly

Interesting, I am curious to know how Ford's engine bays in other vehicles with that same engine look. To me the JL/JT looks a lot more polished, whereas the Bronco looks like what I would expect on a preproduction mule. Even removing the engine cover, the 3.6 does not look as messy.

When I was cross shopping the F250 and Ram 2500 diesels, it was a huge difference. I figured I had at least half a chance of being able to work on the Cummins myself if I had to and no chance on the F250.

What in the BMW mess did ford do with the engine bay,no sort of cover or anything?
There is some debate on engine covers. A whole thread here and elsewhere on taking off the one for the Pentastar. Im more critical of the wiring and tube mess and what looks like haphazard placement of parts

The Ford could be cleaner but there is also a turbo there and a lot more going on with that setup to clutter the engine bay.
