Has anyone ran into an issue with the RCA pre outs not working? Tried two different amps two different set of RCAs and all of the outpus on the radio and I’m gettting nothing. I also pulled the radio out and re-seated the connecton that the RCAs come out of, that didn’t help either.
I have not checked, but I'm planning on pulling mine out this weekend to return. Way too many bugs and dead-end features for a $1500 head unit. My previous was a $1200 Kenwood and it was 10x better.

Pioneer looks to be developing a modular series of units, Dmh-wc5700nex is their first offering. Only has a 7" display but I imagine they'll soon add larger screens. All we need is Metra to develop the faceplate and they'll run circles around Stinger.

Just installed this unit last night. What an incredible upgrade. Very happy with how it turned out. Install took me about 1-1.5 hours and I managed to hook up a roku express stick to the free hdmi as well. Think i might need to pull it though because the remote isn’t getting signal but that’s user error (stuffed the roku behind the dash lol). Audio definitely sounds cleaner with the 15 band equalizer. No issues with carplay or backup camera. I’ll run this for a few months and report back if there are issues. So far one minor bug is the “white” setting on the button illumination looks more like a light blue to me. Just nit picking at this point though

I got mine installed. the installation was pretty smooth up until the point of trying to cram all the wires into the dash. that was a challenge. I didnt time it, but it took me (what seemed like) an hour or more of rearranging wires, the siriusXM tuner and the HD camera module. It is possible, just be aware its going to take some time to get everything arranged just right, also try to STAY CALM during this time, ha. It can get frustrating trying fit it all in there. Impressions so far: It does retain all factory vehicle settings (yes, even the aux switch behavior, tire fill alert, crosspath detection, forward collision sensor....etc. you name it). Works great with the oem premium alpine system, only issue ive seen with that is it appears that its not able to fade front to back for some reason, but it can from left to right. The 15 Band EQ really brings out a lot more life to the factory speakers, puts the 3 band factory EQ to shame. The screen is quick to respond to touch, but it does take a bit to boot up when you first start the jeep (I'd estimate about 5-10 seconds slower than the factory 7" I had). Apple Carplay works just fine, navigation looks amazing on it compared to the 7" oem.

The only bugs I've found (these are minor annoyances, nothing major) so far are:
twice i've had an error saying rear camera not available when I try to select the factory backup cam from their camera app, but it will bring up the camera feed just fine if I switch to reverse gear. audio Fader front to back (as mentioned above). If you start the jeep in the garage where SiriusXM can't get a signal it will display 'No Signal' at the top of the screen and that pop up will get stuck there, I have found no way to clear it even after it gets the signal when you pull out of the garage. To get rid of it, you have to turn off the jeep and reboot outside where the antenna has a clear view of the sky from the get go. Also, related to SiriusXM, it will not pull in the radio station logos, it just shows a generic SXM logo where the station graphic should be. I've been working with customer support on the 'No Signal' pop up and the station logo issue. So far to trouble shoot, we've done the following to non avail: double checked the firmware version, used the reset button on the front of the radio, pulled the radio back out and unplug the main vehicle harness for 30 sec or so then reconnect, unplug and plug back in the siriusXM tuner, reset the RadioPro module.

Again the bugs listed above are minor annoyances, so far the radio has absolutely met expectations. I was looking for a head unit that could retain all factory vehicle settings, had a large screen, gave me greater control over the audio, has expandability for external amps in the future, works with the factory alpine system, doesnt require you to dismantle the entire dash, stays around a reasonable price point (while understanding the days of the $300 aftermarket head unit are over given the heavy integration required these days) and looks good. This thing checked all those boxes.

So there is a screen where you can change the aux switch settings like OEM?

Thanks! Just saw this reply but I figured it out during my install. Luckily I tried it out before reinstalling the dash. Center console port it is!
So the wireless adapter works in the center console? I had a wireless charger installed in the armrest, and so the wireless option is a top priority for me. My issue is that the USB in the console seems to be spotty -- that dongle has always worked flawlessly from the dash port, but cuts in and out in the console.

Did they rewire the console, or does yours just work?

So obviously it will work with the factory front and rear camera, but how many more cameras can we add past that will it support?
Also, will the additional cameras display in HD like the factory cameras. (Of course if I bought additional HD cameras)
21glad. I posted last night about it. I have details and photos. Some features are lost like the center heads up display in the factory display but overall a great addition

Also cannot seem to get the factory usb and usb C to work with the display and had to add a separate usb in the glove box

I checked out Pioneer's modular setup. Looks awesome. I've always have Pioneer head units in most of my cars. And Metra had always been top notch with their install kits.

I find it hard to hear phone calls when using carplay or bt. Definitely not as loud as oem. Any thoughts?

also do you need the sd card for navigation option to open?

BT calls normal for me (don't use Carplay). As I recall, need the card for the app to start up.

Anyone know where in the menu I can adjust my tire size? I saw someone mention it on the JL forums.

there is no screen to adjust tire size. Only the warning pressure. To adjust size, you need a tazer or jscan app with Bluetooth OBD adapter, or similar.

Thanks! Yea there's a free HDMI port in the Stinger unit, one is for the backup cam, and I hooked a roku stick to the other and then ran power to the USB by the climate controls. Only issue now is I didn't realize the roku remote needs to be able to see the stick to work so I'm gonna have to pull it and mount it elsewhere, or look into a different remote.

I have the same issue sometimes with Carplay but it's hit or miss. Sometimes it's crystal clear
