Went in for my 1st Jeep wave service (2nd oil change, 1st was myself, 1st tire rotation) at 11K miles. I clearly asked for both oil change and rotation.
Before drop off, I wrote on my rims with a pencil #1-4 to verify afterward how they did it.
After signing the ticket that the oil change and rotation was complete and checking the tires, was very surprised the numbers hadn't changed.
I went back inside and alerted them to the issue. The service person said the technician thought he was "only supposed to do an oil change" and made a mistake. Even though it was clear on the ticket that both were completed and they were charging Jeep back for both services. Honest mistake?
If I hadn't marked the tires beforehand, I wouldn't have known. So LPT, mark your tires.
When I get home I'll be checking to see if the actual oil and filter was changed because right now trust level is zero with this dealer.
At this point I won't be using the remaining Jeep Wave services, not worth the risk on shady dealer practices.

Technically, they did rotate your tires.

I haven't used any of the so-called "FREE" services and I won't.

Not going to let some unsupervised, 1st year, mechanic wannabe, trainee ever touch my ride.

Service departments are like lawyers, billable hours are all they care about.

So you didn't trust them to do what they were supposed to. Good call! My back window started leaking. I'm scared to death to take it in.

When you picked it up did you point out they weren’t done yet? Asking for a friend.

I took my old 17 jk in for an oil cha fonge and tire rotation and said 3 times make sure they rotate the spare in.... Yeah not only did they not rotate the spare in they didn't rotate the tires at all... After 2 days my oil change light came on... The oil looked very dirty for 100 miles. Needless to say I changed the oil myself with full synthetic..

I should have known but I went back for a warranty claim. Back seat frame squeaked bad!! They had to replace the frame. Came back with only 2 of the 6 seat frame mount bolts put back in... Yeah really awesome deal when I noticed 3 days later and I had my 5 year old in back the previous day...

Rydel in Independence SUCKS. I drove 35 miles away to order my Gladiator.. McGrath's has been great so far!!!

I did, went back inside and told them I marked them so I'd know how they rotated them for when I do it myself next time. They quickly got it back in and did and apologized. Sorry if a little perturbed, but this is the same dealer than refused to honor the Jeep Wave oil change at 5K miles because my oil life meter was still at 34%. I wanted it done at 5K so I did it myself...

My default expectation is that my dealer is going to let me down. This way, I’m pleasantly surprised when they do what they said what they would do.

Amazing. My dealer has only made one mistake and took care of it via another free oil change - they put in 6 instead of 5 quarts the first time. Otherwise, they've never failed to do as I ask. Tire rotations - for the first year they were taking the tires/wheels I had in the back of the truck and swapping those on and loading up the others in my truck and strapping them in. They did that 3 times. I have since bought new tires - but they did 5 tires for me last time.
I do mark the tires so that they don't get put right back on the same corner later but there's never been a doubt about their taking care of things.
When I added passive entry to my truck, had it all programmed in, everything worked, I asked if they'd contact Jeep and have that added to my VIN and said I understood I had to pay for that. Their response, no problem, we'll take care of it for you. They even flashed things to make sure the VIN change worked - the new flash put the passive entry right back. No charge. They fixed other stuff for me that wasn't warranty - no charge.
Are they perfect? No, very few live up to my perfectionist expectations of people. But for a dealership shop, they ain't bad.
