After thinking about it since the day I brought it home, I took the Willys hood decals off. Peeled off easily (ran some errands a couple hours ago so the hood got nice and warmed up), then goo gone to clean up the goop. Very happy with the look, it is nice and clean. Planning on keeping the 4 wheel drive in the back and I ordered these to put with the black Jeep + Gladiator logos on the sides to keep the Willys branding on there. Not sure if I'll put anything back on the hood, maybe a blackout or topo decal on top if I want to jazz it up.

I didn't miss it...I completely understood that somebody of your intelligence and knowledge and experience who's worked on cars your entire life and showed cars at cars shows and has an encyclopedic knowledge of everything couldn't possibly imagine that someone who doesn't have all of those things might not understand something. It was just a shitty post making fun of someone else and it bothered me.
The part that got me was that the maker of the video even mentioned Amazon - and if you go there, there's several photos. He must have had a brain fart or something. It was hard to imagine a person buying them online and not seeing the pictures. Or - someone who put themselves out as a knowledgeable person on mods and other things....... it's just hit me as odd.
I can get it when someone hasn't done a lot of such work, is starting out and was handed such a kit - but the guy was putting himself out there as a pro of sorts, giving advice, and having ordered it online, saw pictures.
A beginner always deserves leeway - always.

Yeah, I was told way back in school that I'd have trouble with people who can't keep up - I expect perfection from others.
If it helps any, it's not something easily controlled as it's literally a medical situation. (a recognized one) as well as relating a bit to Sheldon Cooper.

(IQ doesn't mean common sense or socially astute)

Bought my JT 4 months ago, largest ‘’mod” I’d made to a car prior was swapping Korean Kia badges onto my old Optima… needless to say I’ve felt lost/like an idiot multiple times while trying to install various things. But that’s exactly why I’d never make a YT video out of it. As a beginner, if I were watching an install video, and saw that kind of reaction to an un-boxing I’d find the next video, bc that person clearly knows as little as I do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

One of my old college instructors would like you - he always said "it's not necessarily knowing what you know, it's knowing what you don't know".

I’m on the fence about removing the Willys stickers on my hood but that looks fantastic! Be sure to update a pic or two when you get your new ones on. I like your idea!

Not today, but over the 3 weeks I’ve owned my Gladiator.
Rugged Ridge window visors, NFab tube steps, Gator Tonneau cover, new antenna and basel, dash bar mount with Scosche magnetic phone mount, Hothead Headliner, weather tech mud flaps, and some rugged ridge headlight covers.

Did you do a ceramic treatment to the paint? So shiny. I thought about hiring my nephew to do mine. He ran a detail biz for awhile. I think it might be too late though, the Manzanita already did a little pinstriping last weekend. Oh, what dash hooha is that?

Just curious as to whether or not you guys that are putting the 37’s on are staying stock or regearing and reflashing?
Definitely R&R ;) among all the other stuff, shafts, ball joints etc. I think if you are not going off road, just regear and a Tazer is fine.

A while back I installed a BadgeGlow auxiliary switch board for the auxiliary switch wiring under the hood:

Now I wanted an under dash version. I ordered this on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07DM3HVZG?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

It came out pretty good and it’s tucked up where it would be hard to kick by the passenger.

Nice. I just did a similar deal under the hood with a block from Mouser.com. ~ $8 Part number is 504-TB200-04SP you can get 6 position also if you want to run power and ground.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw his pictures the other day. Warn winch serial #0001. Very cool........(and heavy).
It's an 8247. One very solid winch.
My first thought was how to get airflow around it somehow 'cause it's gunna block a lot of airflow. Get a different bumper to get it down lower between the frame rails. Great winch though.
