I lease mine. It's meant to be a lighthearted lifestyle car and since I'm not an avid rock crawler, I don't mod it beyond minor things like nerf bars and a tonneau cover.

I like having new things so every 3 years I'll get a new jeep.

Had my Honda Civic for 25 years. Probably the last new vehicle I will purchase. If I get even half of the 580,000 miles I put on my Civic I'll be happy.

Plan to keep this as long as it, and I, am roadworthy, which'll hopefully be a minimum of two decades and maybe 3+ decades

Just sold my 20+ year old f150 with 280,000+ on the clock. Unless there is a major lifestyle change, I plan on keeping this just as long.

We tend to keep our vehicles 8 - 10 years after buying new. That being said, we just replaced both my wife's 8+ year old Acadia Denali and my 8+ year old Ram 1500 5.7 in the span of a couple of weeks. (My wife got a JLU Rubicon, and I got the JT Rubicon.)

My wife's Acadia developed a bizarre sensor hiccup that was present for a week or two and then disappeared. All the electronics in her vehicle, and my electrical engineering job made my paranoia of difficulties in getting replacement parts made me pull the trigger on replacing both while we could get amazing money on selling/trading them in. (The Ram was particularly impressive on trade in - I paid 32K for it as a 2014 close out, and got 28.5K for the trade.)

I don't know how long the electronics and replacements will be available for these things. Derating wise, I'm sure they're specced for 7 years at least, but the Texas heat eats things up, and temperature accelerates electronic degradation. I sure hope to get 10 years out of them. In the interim years, maybe hope to pick up a Vice Grip Garage special somewhere along the line and have something with a carburetor and the only thing electric is the starter, distributor and spark plugs. :)

Thought it was a forever truck. But I traded my 2020 Rubicon in on a 2021 Rubicon. Maybe this one will be my forever truck.

I usually buy something new every few years. I don’t think that’ll be the case with this truck, unless a true electric version comes out or an affordable Hemi version. I don’t feel like I need more power but it would be nice.

I'm generally the same as you. However, I plan on keeping the gladiator for the long haul. I might get something else in a few years, but I'd still keep the gladiator. This is by far my favorite vehicle that I've ever owned.

Well I bought my last truck used with 140k. It was about 20 years old with 250k on it when I sold it and the new owner drove it 1600 miles away. It survived New England winters, revlimiter assaulting boulders with reckless abandon and a general lack of maintenance other then replacing axle shafts and the occasional ring gear.

I plan on this being the first and last new vehicle I ever buy. I won’t be wheeling it that hard. My priority’s are a cabin or a bigger boat and every penny helps.

I’m hoping for 20 years and probably 250k miles at that point. By then I should be able to find a used self driving car I can sleep in on the way north.
