Just remember that you can add almost anything to a Sport S Max Tow. Headlights, audio equipment, suspension, etc.

But, you cannot do the reverse and add 30% more payload and 10% more towing capacity to a Rubicon, Mojave, Overland, etc.

If you don't want the diesel engine, the Max Tow is the only JT to buy.
Agreed. After all aftermarket upgrades, u will have overpaid for everything that comes on a Rubicon or Mojave. As mentioned earlier, lockers aren't really needed much unless u rock crawl hard.

I say don't buy either.

Get an Overland. It's the best trim for the money for so many reasons and that's not even saying it from a standpoint of being cheap. Cause I'm definitely not cheap with anything. Quite the opposite actually. Mine was not cheap by any means.

I just don't buy base model anything.

@IamPro2A @Cripton805 With all that positive equity I owed it to myself to explore my options. The more I look at the differences however, the less I’m leaning towards trading as you stated. Yeah, my factory stereo sucks, LED headlights would be a welcomed addition in these rural Illinois roads, and passive entry is missed but does that justify a trade?
It is very easy to upgrade to high quality LED headlights on your current model. You can also upgrade the stereo (though it is pricy). You have a great setup right now with the Max Tow.

If you change the suspension on a max tow, would you be taking what makes it a max tow away from it? It seems like the suspension and tires are what gives you that extra 10% towing capacity/30% payload. Brakes, axles, and cooling system are the same as the Rubicon with towing package. So the difference has to be the suspension and tires. It won't change your GVWR placard, but the suspension is the difference. I'm sure it's more complicated than that, but it has to be a big part of it.

Unless you want a manual transmission....
Precisely. Damn this weak clutch, too bad there's no MT (Max Tow) with an MT (Manual Transmission) option, and stronger clutch. No worries though. I'd rather row gears and have "barely adequate" tow, and pretty decent payload. No hate towards the Max Tow folks though! I like all JTs. Went wheeling with a Max Tow and Willys, and my Rubicon, and all held their own.

If you want tougher tires on a max tow without hurting the towing capacity, Falken offers their AT3W in the stock size, 245-75-17 but E rated (51 lb). They are also available in SL rating (41 lb). I chose the 255's at a pound more each. The stock Bridgestones weigh 34 lb each.

I think it would be a great idea to start a long running, emotion filled discussion on the benefits of MAX and his TOE.

Not really, because you can add a 7" or 8" stereo on yours pretty easily. It's a straight forward swap. You can also swap out your headlights with OEM ones or Oracle LED headlights. You can also add passive entry to yours as well. You have access to all that info on the forum. You can do all of that with a lot less than what a Rubicon or a Mojave would cost you with the same options.
is this all taking into account that you could potentially void out warranties?

I think I saw it in the forum, but for the life of me I can't find it again.
I'm talking about the detailed listing of all items included in the 24S package.
Anyone have a link to that? I mean it was item by item in the 24S...
Much appreciated if you can assist...

Kevin, I appreciate that...
Much better than what shows on my order sheet. Now if I can just get a build sheet, I'll be sittin' pretty when I go to pick it up in a couple weeks...
Thank you sir...
