i got it thanks, had to use a glove to push down and pull out, seems like a lot of dirt/road grime lodged in there making it difficult to pull out
Yep, if you are getting dirty (as intended) the factory connector can get sticky. Glad you got it worked out :)

Holy crap that looks amazing! I just found this thread and can’t believe what such a small difference makes to the entire rear portion of the truck!

Damn this site! Every time I think I’m done with mods. . . ?

Mine didn't come with any screws or double sided tape to mount the resistor. Guess it isn't happening today

Sorry for any confusion, the resistors are not shipped with double stick but that is not obvious from the video.

I shoved mine in the compartment where the sensors would go since I had that picker free

The oracle rep on here said not to stick them on the light because of the heat output of the resistor. However, they didn't include the necessary tape with this first batch of orders (mine included).

@ORACLElights I did a factory LED to oracle LED swap, I have hyperflash on the dash but the actual turn signals are in sync with the rest of the signals without any rapid flashing. I also get a turn signal out code on the dash when starting the truck. Does this mean I need to install the resistors even though I previously had LED’s? I’m sure others will have the same question.

Lots of back & forth here so I'm going to summarize from my earlier posts just for the sake of combining in hopes that it's a useful resource for any of you:

  • Halogen Equipped Jeeps - Uses the included resistor - No errors/DTCs should occur
    • If you do not wish to use the resistors & have a Tazer or programmer installed - You can set for aftermarket tails to avoid signal out error / DTC
  • LED Equipped Jeeps - Remove included resistor & swap over cross traffic sensor if equipped
    • Some LED Equipped Jeeps may still show a bulb out warning after doing this - Programmer such as Tazer or JSCAN can be used to set for aftermarket tails - This essentially tells the ECU to stop checking for the OEM load values at the tails (This doesn't occur on EVERY LED equipped Jeep.)
    • This is not exclusive to just ORACLE lights. The systems responsible for sensing errors throughout the vehicle are proprietary to FCA - Noone has the data to circumvent this.
  • Using with ORACLE Bumper Reverse Lights (PN# 5878-504) - If P&P harness is in use & reverse light flickering / shutting down occurs you can do one of two things:
    • Use programmer such as Tazer or JSCAN to set aftermarket tails - This essentially tells the ECU to stop checking for the OEM load values at the tails (Reverse Lights included)
    • Remove the P&P Harness & tap each bumper reverse light into it's respective side tail to evenly distribute the load between the two, rather than combining the load at one tail
I hope this helps. As always, happy to answer any questions here or via PM.
