just called a dealer to see what they would charge me to install a mopar 2inch lift
i told them i had the lift
and they quoted me 1700
seems high
anybody know what's the going rate for this?
Do you have any independent mechanic shops around there that could do this for you? There are a number of them in my area here in Middle Tennessee. I rarely go to the dealer for anything.

Another idea is any local Jeep clubs in the area that might have some folks who are very good at this and would probably make you a good deal. We have a large club here called "Topless in Tennessee" and I have had several members tell me that they would be glad to help with installing mods of most any types.

Just a thought.

Lifts are pretty easy to install. Did mine in my garage alone in 6-7 hours. Might want to look into it. 1k was too much for me to give away, used that money i saved on more parts ?

TL:DR. ITS PAINLESS AND BORDERLINE FOOLPROOF. DIY

We see this all the time. I paid $475 to have an AEV spacer lift installed. Ended up getting 4 new longer shocks and Clayton springs and made an appointment 4 weeks out.

Got impatient and 25 YouTube videos later
I decided to do it myself. Now, I own a 900sq foot separate shop, compressor, full complement of tools/air tools/torque wrenches etc, but you need VERY little.
Did the whole thing myself without a single hiccup thanks to reading every tip on this forum and watching videos. Took a total of 5.5
Hours and that included a new front track bar as well.

Especially right now as they all struggle for profit with extremely low inventory.

@lowso, I'm assuming the desire for the dealer to install is so it'll be under warranty? Is that the case?
No was just curious to know the price….shame that’s why nobody trusts them

WOW, I work for a Jeep dealer and typically we bill around $500 to install the Mopar kit.

About 8 years ago I was thinking about a lift on my jeep. I called my uncle and said, "Do you think you could help me with a lift kit for my jeep?" My Uncle: "What the hell are you doing, now?"

I'll come install it for half that... it's very easy to do, 4 or 5 wrenches and a jack. Maybe half a day for two generally competent old farts

This has been my exact experience in La. Every quote I have received for lift and install has been around $3600-$4300. The dealer also tried to charge me $900 to install a hitch and $500 for the tonneau cover. I believe most dealerships are like this to some extent.

I would try and find a small operation, support your local offroad shop and join the community.

15%off any service you say? Where did you get this?

There are 2 coupons on my local dealership's website. They can be found if you go to Service and then Mopar Coupons.

15% off Accessories & Performance Parts (up to $200 off)
10% off Vehicle Service

Is it best to have the Mopar dealer installed? Thanks in advance. C

I should add that he'd been saying that to me since I was about 9 years old.
