I really need to make something like this for my pickup. It's not fun having to climb in the box to chase gas cans or other items that always seem to slide to the front. I've also been thinking about a way to incorporate a rack to store the freedom tops into something like this. It'd be nice to have a better place to put them than the back seat. I'm worried they might damage the leather in time.

That's some awesome wood your got your hands on as well. Good work. What did you use for the brackets to hold the wheel well piece?

I built a bed/cargo partition/plywood/drywall holder for my 80th Anniversary using 80(ish) year old white oak reclaimed from an old barn that my friend had laying around.

The plywood/drywall holder nests behind the cargo partition when not in use using 2 sets of door barricade brackets.

Pretty pleased with the results.

Thank you to everyone for the positive feedback.

A few of you said you might be interested in buying a set. What would value them at? I might make a few more sets if there is interest.

Thanks again!

This is exactly the type of thing I would throw money at without a second thought. Was going to toss a 2x6 in the bed but now I don't know if I can.

Nice work. I suspect shipping would kill it but I'd be interested in seeing the price if you were to make some extras.

Nothing to compare it to. Sure, I can buy some wood and hack at it, but you did a really nice job there. That's worth something. Pay yourself a decent carpenter's wage and cost of materials and put a price out there! Oak is pricey these days, but if you have reclaimed, all the better.

Whenever I do a side job it usually goes somewhere along these lines:

Price = (Cost of Materials + 10%) + (Hourly Wage of $45.00/hr + Other consumables used) + (Shipping + 5% for fuel/time used handling and getting to shipping)

These wouldn't be cheap, I'm not a skilled carpenter but would estimate that to make this make sense it would take upwards of $220 to get into your hands.

Have you seen the cost of lumber these days???? I'm thinking more like $2,200, if my general contractor is to be believed.

Very Nice! I use a 2x8 as well and keep a 4-section organizer in the back near the tailgate under my MOPAR hard Tonneau cover for groceries and such...

1 sheet of 3/4" P.T. plywood is +$50 at your local Home improvement store!

Convincing argument for just selling the stencils!

OP, if you decide to make a few sets I'd be interested.

No idea what you should list them for...
