For the hood I'd go Mohave, too many RubiSnobs out there anyway ?

Funny only because all of the “professionals” say that the Mojave will do 90% of everything that the Rubicon will do, but that the Rubicon can’t do half of what the Mojave can do.The Rubicon will do every thing the Mojave will do and much more. If your pocket book allows - buy the Rubicon.
There is literally only 1 thing the mojave can do better off road, and that is go fast on whoops. The rubicon can still go on whoops/desert running it just wont be at 45 more like 20-25. Other than that, the rubicon will do everything the mojave can do, and then some as it is objectively more capable in every offroad situation. It is safe to say the rubicon will go everywhere the mojave will just not as fast, while the mojave will not go everywhere the rubicon goes.Funny only because all of the “professionals” say that the Mojave will do 90% of everything that the Rubicon will do, but that the Rubicon can’t do half of what the Mojave can do.
And most of the mere owners of both have so far pretty much been agreeing with the “professionals”. With way more than one sentence with no explanation of “every thing”.
Just sayin. No dog in the fight. Yet.
I'm not sure why we insult other buyers of the same vehicle we have, just with a different trim/package/set of options, but aside from that, sure, if you like the hood better, go for it. All the JTs are pretty good, so you can't go wrong. Price is the same for both, and they both have giant stickers on the hood, so you'll get snobs on either camp. For the hood I'd go Mohave, too many RubiSnobs out there anyway ?
Yes you do.do what ever you want. I'm giving the strait real world correct answer.
tell him to use a Mojave Rock rock crawling with out crawl ratios, non disconnect sway bars or front locker or maybe go over heat the shocks and twist the frame of a Rubicon out in the dunes.
I don't care.

Nope, you can do that on either, no spacers needed. Max Tow can too, if you cut the fender liner, or add Rubi/Mojave flares. But Rubicon and Mojave will accept 35s with no other mods. If you keep the sway bar connected, some have gone to 37s too. No lift needed, no spacers needed. I'd be afraid of rubbing on a Rubicon with no lift and 37s off-road. The Mojave with its higher front suspension might be ok at 37 no lift off-road. But either will run 35s happily, no rubbing, no problems.I thought with both the Rubicon and Mojave you can add 35's to it without a lift.
I've been in the same delima as far as which model to get. Leaning more towards Mojave since I only want to goto 35" tires.
Is the spacer needed on both Rubicon and Mojave?
Except it won't.....The Rubicon will do every thing the Mojave will do
Let's not make it a competition. They will both do things the other won't, at the extreme end, straight out of the box. By the time you're done modding, if that's your thing, it's all going to be a wash anyway.Except it won't.....
Haha I'm not. Both excel in their space and yup once mods start our cute stickers mean nothing.Let's not make it a competition. LOL you got no fuckin idea ol son! I have a Mohave and its my 3rd Jeep. If I were you listen to @DirkG and go with the Max Tow Sport and save a ton of cash. When you buy a rubicon you're really buying a few things: front sway bar disconnect, Dana 44 axles front and rear, lockers, and a super low transfer case. These vehicles STOCK are so much more capable than your garden variety anything else that you should start there and spend your money on gear you need for your family! Go off roading a few times, make some friends in the scene, see what it can really do before you overbuy. A ~$600 spacer lift, 35" tires, and a new front track bar is usually all that 95% of people need. Its fun to dream about building a sick rock crawler, its not fun to pay for it and Neve go rock crawling.Lol, I definitely agree with the sentiment. However, this being our first Jeep, I’m having a really hard time deciding. This whole process has been harder that choosing between women, and I’ve heard that it’ll be even more expensive than marrying one..
I’m finding this to be true but, I’m so glad to have a Mojave, the daily drive is painless and euphoric.LOL you got no fuckin idea ol son! I have a Mohave and its my 3rd Jeep. Also has the Dana 44 axles. In fact, all Gladiator's have the Dana 44 axles. Max Tow, like the Rubicon and Mohave, come with the wider axles.Max Tow Sport
The seats and wheel were a pretty big deal for me. Fat wheel is fat. Bolstering is much better in the seats.I’m finding this to be true but, I’m so glad to have a Mojave, the daily drive is painless and euphoric.
