Have a AEV 2 inch spacer lift on my Willys and curious if I can run the mojave shocks with this setup. Anybody attempt this? Thanks

I think the lower shocks mounts on t he Mojave are wider, but they might be able to be modified to fit.

Think they just use a bigger size bolt for the front lower shock mount.
You may need to drill out the shock mount, in order to fit the appropriate size bolt for the shock.

Thats not terrible. My question is can I remove the shock extensions and run these from both factory upper and lower locations? Im not sure how much taller (if at all) a mojave is compared to a willys. Im aware of the fenders.

Not if this will help as I have a Mojave with the AEV 2" kit. I think the Mojave is approx 1" taller stock. The kit has shock extensions with it so I think you would leave those in if you have them or add if not but I would think you would need them. Other posters are correct and the lower front shock bolt is larger but I understand drilling out is no problem.

The mojave/rubicons sit taller then other models but the shocks aren't any longer.

You can run the mojave shocks and just spacers no problem, it is just a less ideal setup. Extending the bump stops and shock mounts will give you better compression/droop setup and also make room for larger tires and longer shocks in the future if you choose to upgrade.

Mojave owner here who purchased both the sport/willys/rubicon AEV spacer kit and the AEV Mojave specific spacer kit.

The Mohave shock mount on the axel and width of Mohave shocks are wider than those on any other model. As a result, the shock extension mounts are completely different sizes to accomodate the lower shock mount on the axle. My mojave shocks did fit in the rubicon sized extension once I drilled the bolt hole out, but did not fit around the shock mount on the axle.

In summary, I think you could use a sport/willys/rubicon kit thats been drilled out to fit the larger Mojave shock bolts (you will need to purchase these separately). I may even still have these laying around and would be happy to send them to you to test. Shoot me a PM and we can get that arranged.
