I have added about 300 lbs total. Most of that over the rear wheels. 2 arb differential covers, air compressor, Fishbone 1/2 rack plus accessories, 20lb of skid plating, and some gear. Anymore weight than this and handling is compromised at high speed. Had to change out my front bumper due to a deer strike and went with Spartacus stubby. About the same weight as the stock bumper. At this point I’m done increasing weight. Lost about one mpg also with the changes.

Is this weight calculation done including subtracting the weight of parts removed?

I know the state of Wisconsin does not allow tires to extend outside the fenders. Grew up there, in Texas now frequently see no fenders here. FYI

Yeah, here In Texas, we have fools riding around with rims and tires almost all the way past the fenders and I’m not talking about Jeep’s or trucks. At least in the Houston area we do. They have rims with funny looking center cap pieces that stick out a foot past the outside of the wheel ?

Yes that is after take offs.

First of all, I appreciate that you work to serve our country and you are to be commended for that.
I also think the fender extensions are very nice looking and "Bill" must do some fine work. What I am curious about is that the country of which you speak, does not have an overall width problem, but just that the tires cannot extend past the fender. Seems odd to me if they have a road width issue or something like that. Do you know why they are against the extension past the fender?? Thanks

Great question … this country has some of the best roads in the world; as well as some of the narrowest (in town). I can’t speak to whether or not there is an overall width restriction (there are certainly larger vehicles on the road), but can confirm the prohibition on tires extending beyond the fender is law here … one for which your Jeep will not pass inspection (required for registration) and for which you are vulnerable to ticket/fine if found to be operating the vehicle outside of those limits. It’s generally characterized as a ‘safety’ concern/issue … - CHEERS -

A year in, are you still happy with that Vanguard rack? I've been looking at the Yakima Overhaul for my kayaks, but nobody in my area has them in stock or knows when they'll be back. Vanguard looks like a clone, but the reviews on Amazon are mixed.

Some of the reviews complained about quality control, but I may just cross my fingers and order one come spring and kayaking season.

Those are elbows, best with white wall tires..

New Mojave, joining the thread. First mod Antenna swap with daughter doing the wrenching. lol! then added snowman co-pilot, added 10hp. just added bed cover no pictures. what's next not sure, when it comes to jeep accessories it definitely is opening a pandora box.

Just dropping in to say hey. Picked her up today. 2022 Sting Gray with Steel Gray leather. Was on the fence about the light color leather, but it has REALLY grown on me, now. Was just sick of the all black everything from some of my other vehicles and wanted a change.

I like the look of the light leather. I found a Mojave with that leather installed and I was sold but the wife wasn't a fan.
