Garage door opener - what other uses?

when I ordered my JTR a couple of years ago, I had to also order the garage door opener. I don't have a garage, thus no garage door.

What else can I use those buttons for? bugs me that I have these things on there that I can't use.

There's a thread somewhere showing how you can use them as switches for lights and what not. Pretty cool idea for those of us who didn't get aux switches

There are other threads about this, too.
I wired mine directly to the battery (via a fuse) as the box draws minimal current when ON, disregarding the load.
I like the way it works.

Im guessing a gate, mighty mule. Haven’t programmed mine yet.

I don't have a garage, but I do have one button programmed to open the gate into the community where my brother lives. It's nice to not have to worry about the battery dying in the gate fob.
