Wasn’t bad at all. It uses the body bolts so you just need to be patient and use a breaker bar. Took about 1.5 hours.
Yeah I saw the Ace video. I didn’t want to remove the OEM sliders.

Years ago I painted that bottom rocker panel with either an undercoat or bed coat. It has never faded or anything else. I kick myself for not remembering the brand because it was a impressive product
I added 1 3/8" black trim to the weld seam to make the gap between the side steps and body not look so bad...

Not much, but got these cut. Two about 52" for the two sides of the truck, the longer (left over from 2 10' unistruts) are for mounting to the side struts and crossing the bed for my storage container to bolt to. Still need to figure out the whole top connection and custom tie downs. Will probably create a thread once all done. Now to mount, test, then paint black and add clear coat.

Spent $7 on these, and I gotta say they actually fit well and I think look pretty good. Waiting for what seems like forever for all my bigger things to come in (front bumper, headlights, taillights) but I felt like doing something

Started new bumper, winch, and LED driving light install.... This is the end result of breaking it all down before it can be put back together.

End result should be sweet AF:

Rugged Ridge Arcus Bumper -- factory LED fogs convey
Smittybilt X20 10K Synthetic Winch
Hella 500 LED Driving Lights

✌

Mostly done...

The driving light setup is a PITA to bypass manufacturer supplied block/switch and use factory AUX switches. Otherwise, I am happy and think it is pimp AF.

I want these sliders after the lift too, but the broken body bolt threads have me nervous. I've broken body mount capture nuts on CJs/YJs and it's easy to cut the tubs there to fix. Did you use any heat?

Installed an F-250 Adarac bed rack over a Tacoma Softopper. Not sure this combo will work any other way.
The rack rails are screwed to the topper rails and both are clamped to the bed so completely removable.
There's about an inch between trails which allows the sides too be snapped and unsnapped with plenty of bed access through the sides.
The uprights had to be cut to get them to fit.
Yes the topper can be folded.
Yes the Softopper needs to be refinished. Does anyone have a product to recommend?

I was a little nervous after reading that thread too. I didn’t use heat but I worked them back and forth in quarter turns. Took some patience but none of my bolts shuddered or anything.

This looks like a reasonable solution for a rack with a softopper. Would be cool if it was tube instead of square.

I relocated my AM/FM antenna today. It now lives under the plastic vent around the wipers. I used my Overland Bound badge to cover the holes.

ok so I like the idea (reception issues for those rural). a bracket to mount it would be a little more professional and be an added ground. I use those cable management sticky tabs for wiring, that not going to last to long.
