On my Sport S with 4.10s the biggest difference was from the stock tires to 33s, since I have had it I have run 33s, 34s and 35s, have not really noticed a big difference between the 3 sizes, all about the same weight, 285 width or 11.5 and 10.5s.

Those 37" ridge grapplers are ok for daily driving and offroading when it's dry. They SUCK in mud though. They just get caked up and your tires just become round mud balls. This time around I ordered 37" Cooper STT Pros and should have them installed next week.

Just trying to talk you out of the ridge grapplers. ;)

In all seriousness, personally I don't think a Gladiator looks good until you put on 37s on it. As for wear and tear I'd just be ready for ball joints and for the brakes to wear faster. Maybe some bushings in the suspension. However, I had 37" ridge grapplers on my JK for 60k miles. The only wear items I replaced were the front lower control arms (lift came with new ones), ball joints (dynatrac prosteers), and brakes (dynatrac progrip). All of those were done at the same time as when I put on the 37s. No issues for over 60k miles before I sold the Jeep.

I’ll gladly talk you out of ridge grapplers lol if you see any sort of weather in terms of rain or snow then you are in for a bad time. I’ve had several brands on tires on several trucks and those were the worst tires I ever owned. Every time we go wheeling and someone gets stuck, its ridge grapplers 9/10 times.

As for 37’s, if you want them… get them. A good dealership won’t blink an eye at them

I always stick with stock, and buy the trim I need for the size tire I want. Engineered from the factory is the way I want to go. They know a lot more than me. The Mojave package will do anything I ever want to, and then some. No need to “upgrade” the wheel/tire combo. Just my 2..

I agree in the sense that I stay pretty close to stock for the same reason. However, I will feel pretty safe moving to 35’s on my JTR once my stock tires wear out.

I had 35's on my '15 JLUR with a 2.5" lift, and I thought they were perfect.

I traded into a '18 JLUR, and the 35's or 37's decision drove me nuts. There weren't many lifted JL's in my area when I started modding mine, but my dealer had a few with the Mopar lift and 35's. I just rolled the dice and went with 37's and was extremely happy with the way it turned out.

When trade-in values went through the roof, I traded into my current JTR. There was no question about running 37's on it too.

You're going to notice the heavier tires when driving, but it doesn't bother me at all. It all comes down to personal preference.

Thanks. It's definitely a love-it or hate-it color. When I found it, I was actually looking for an Ocean Blue JLUR my dealer had, and this Mojito was sitting right beside it. I couldn't stop looking at it. It was so ugly I fell in love with it. :CWL: I have to admit, I miss it, but I wouldn't give up my JTR.......unless Gator comes back.

We have all been there. If you could do it over again. Would you have upgraded? Sell me!

After upgrading what did you learn? We’re you declined warranties on items? Faster wear of stock components?

talk me out of buying these 37 ridge grapplers
??
You’ve got to do what’s best to suit your needs and ignore anyone telling you that you’ve gotta have 37’s, 40’s, whatever to be happy.

I’ve gone with a 1” front, 1/2” rear teraflex spacer. 315/70’s C load rated (34.5”?) on stock wheels. It’s a good slightly off-stock solution for me. With the 4.10’s, the acceleration and fuel economy difference is negligible.

37’s on the Mopar lift would be great, but it’s more important for me for it to still fit in the garage. In addition, they would make getting in and out for the wife and daughter even more difficult than it already is. 35”ish tires still fit under the bed for a matching spare. Finally, none of these minor mods I’ve completed are going to cause any significant premature wear.

What would I change? Perhaps installing both the 1” and .5” spacers up front instead of just the 1”. I lost about half an inch with installation of the steel bumper, winch and winch plate. However, at this point I don’t think it would be worth disassembly for just .5”. We’ll see how it sits once I install my rack & RTT.

I'm just on 35s, but the dealership has no issues with it. They calibrated it for me, and have done some warranty work since. 37s may or may not be another story. Really depends on your dealership too, though.

There’s an old saying GO BIG OR GO HOME so go with the 37’s because if you don’t it will always be on your mind I am running 37 inch milestar Patagonia tires on my gladiator with no problems now as far as a 40 inch tire goes that’s a different story unless your swapping axle’s I would love to run 40 inch tires and have a Hemi under the Hood the granite color gladiator in the bottom picture is how I would love for mine to look
