I have never encountered this “only vehicles bought here” mentality with any other brand I’ve owned. I’d get it serviced at whatever dealership was around. I’ve moved across the country several times and never even heard of this being a consideration.I understand that. It doesn't mean any authorized dealer is going to want to do the warranty work. I'm more concerned with the dealer not wanting to service it because I didn't buy it there. Or, his customers get a service appointment within a week, while it takes 4 weeks to get me in. I used to be a service manager for Ford many years ago and unless things have changed, warranty work used to pay a fraction of book time. The owner of the dealership didn't want us servicing cars bought elsewhere. I can remember him saying "If they could travel that far to buy it, they can travel that far to get it fixed." Again, long before the internet; but, I'm sure there's still dealers that think that way.
Wow, that sounds like a terrible place to work and an even worse place to get your car serviced anyway. That mentality is why lots of folks hate going to dealerships in general. There's probably a reason why people were going out of town to get a car. Let's not try to win a local customer let's keep pushing them out of town because...reasons! LOLI understand that. Like I said, that was many moons ago and long before the old world wide web. But, if anything, it instilled in me to always try and buy local. Ditto this. I've moved extensively over the years overseas and travelled around the US in different brands of vehicles. Especially under warranty, they're glad to work on it as they get reimbursed from the brand.I have never encountered this “only vehicles bought here” mentality with any other brand I’ve owned. I can only hope. Mine was already built by early second week after ordering. Been in “Inspection” for 3 weeks now according to JEEP chat. Jeep email said scheduled delivery should be week of 3/13/22???Gupton advised us the wife's new Wrangler should be ready for pick up the weekend of 03/12. Anyone else going to be in town that weekend?
Well how are you liking it so far?I pick up my new Bright White JTR Friday at noon.
Wife and I are renting a car one way and driving the 4 hours to get it. Ditched the kids with GMA and GPA and staying the weekend in Nashville to visit some local establishments for music and drinks.
Loving it so far. Big upgrade from my Sport S.Well how are you liking it so far?
Yup can’t wait! That’s a good looking Jeep. I love the contrast of the black with white. Almost went that way with mine and having second thoughts of why I didn’t. I went with white body color fenders and top because of summer heat on the top and sun fade on fenders. I really like the wig on the tailgate option I saw in your picture. LolLoving it so far. Big upgrade from my Sport S.
The drive home kinda sucked as it was extremely windy. This brick was being pushed around quite a bit.
I like the look of the painted fenders. I just know I'll scratch them up on trails and be be mad at myself. My Sport S was red with plastic fenders also. Both colors contrast well with black.Yup can’t wait! That’s a good looking Jeep. I love the contrast of the black with white.
