Geeze.Wish that was the case however the tsb is only for the rubicon… the rest of us just get to fix the issue ourselves.
If they want Rubicon owners to feel special that's not the way to do it.

Clayton is nice stuff. I’m pleased with their 2.5” Ride Right kit I have on mine. It’s a good buy for the money.Aev looks to have good options but seems to be parts of the kits are on back order … Clayton looked like an awesome product but a bit overkill for my mostly on road use ?? Feel free to educate me. Or even post up links to stuff you suggest ?
So I’m ready to lift my diesel jt. Now here is the issue I’m having stock, one the diesels bottoming out especially if loaded with more then say 200 lbs of gear or while towing. Two, Having come from a diesel zr2 the soft floaty ride on my diesel Willys is well … shitty. Any of you that are familiar with the zr2 and it’s suspension fill me in as to if a Mopar lift will get me close to that nice dampened ride or will I spend the money and then want a set of far better shocks ?? I’m not going with big tires or looking to crawl. I use my truck to work and tow my camper that’s it!
Any suggestions as to what shocks to pair with the Mopar lift ? Get a different lift all together? I love my gladiator looks performance and tops off doors off fun, however I miss my zr2 suspension!!
Hmmm if I wanted a Corvette...I would have just bought one.Hmm. The ZR2 drives like a Corvette compared to a Gladiator.
Called dealer on the Mopar lift and they said there is a hold on ordering from Mopar. Said they will not be aloud to order until at least June!!Maybe some bump stops like found on the Mojave would be of benefit with the Mopar lift? Or if not worried about warranty related issues just grab a lift from a high end aftermarket company that has proper front spring rates to accommodate extra weight of mods…
Certainly not expecting zr2 ride quality lol just a more controlled rebound and to not bottom out crossing the tracks.Spring rate and style of coil are the only thing going to help with bottoming out. Good shocks will only mask the issue. Also what tires ae you running? Our willies gasser was ridiculous on the clunky Firestone MT garbage Stellantis puts on them. I didn't know if they put the same on the diesel or not. If so ditch those fr something good and you will gain ride quality. Still wont help with bottoming out. Comparing a ifs ZR2 to a SAS Gladiator is apples and oranges for sure, but setup right they can hold their own. Just depends on what you want out of it.
My thought with a diesel spring that is rated for a little extra weight is you should end up with a firmer ride and better handling over a spring that has a similar spring rate but is just taller.Called dealer on the Mopar lift and they said there is a hold on ordering from Mopar. Looking at aftermarket options now.
Also I wish the extra weight was from mods… it’s simply just the Diesel engine weight not being carried properly from the factory.
I can confirm this! Foot wide, foot deep pot holes all over. Basically have to have a Jeep!Well I can say that after getting the mopar lift, it does feel firmer. Doesn't bottom out, until I put on my steel cable winch. Then it just starts to bottom out on bumps traveling just above the speed limit, but not nearly as bad as ot did stock.
I blame St. Louis and their shitty road maintenance.
I was looking at the ride right, am I correct to believe I would need to replace/supply shocks or does it work with stock shocks?Clayton is nice stuff. I’m pleased with their 2.5” Ride Right kit I have on mine. It’s a good buy for the money.
Mostly on road use and not much off road, I don’t think that changes much. On road use is hard on parts too and you want to keep your ride reliable.
I wouldn’t use stock shocks with it. It’s too much of a height increase.I was looking at the ride right, am I correct to believe I would need to replace/supply shocks or does it work with stock shocks?
