This doesn't sound like a true monetary decision to me. You have spent a lot of time working on the mods on your truck because it is your hobby. Our hobbies are those pastimes we enjoy - that often times cost us $$$$. You have built out your Gladiator to a point where there isn't a lot more you want to do to it.....

This isn't a necessarily a case of modifying it to make it more capable on the toughest trails in the country - it is modifying it for the enjoyment of doing the work. Yes, you have improved it's capability, but that wasn't the primary reason you have done the work!!

It sounds to me like you need to start from "ground zero" again.

Enjoy working on your new truck!!

Thus the reason I sold my 70 Javelin - my wife even said "what's left to do on it?".

Jeeps built your Jeep site doesn't put in destination charges, so you have to add that if comparing prices on new. The dealer will have somewhere maybe around 1500 while the Jeep site will show you the price without that.
Yep, but even then it seems like it would make more sense to build one. Honestly after I drove it I wasn't amazed like I thought I would be. I guess having lockers is nice but I can add those to mine for under 2000. It didn't have leather seats and I can care less about heated seats on cloth seats, seems pointless. Only thing was the keyless entry which again I can add for $600 to mine. I got the wide track axles and the Rubicon Suspension on mine already so I was like what I'm really getting here, 30,000 less miles.

2025 Rubicon Mojito. Previously -2020 Gobi Sport S (Max Tow)
i had been wanting / thinking about doing the same, but now im not sure it would make much financial sense for me. I have a max tow S and most rubicon goodies except lockers / electric disco (did manual), and of course the hood. I would have to buy new TPMS for 4 of my old tires and have them all mounted and balanced back on stock rims, swap all the stock parts back on etc. As much as I would love to say I have a rubicon and some of the features I wish I would have got.......im not sure its worth the extra money AND time.

Also now with Gobi coming back, everyone and their mom is going to have a GOBI driving around. So now that also makes me want to trade. Id love to find a snazzberry at the perfect deal.

Time to learn something - that's the cool green I see? My wife saw a Wrangler with a really neat bright green and said "what about that color" and I didn't know any better - I said "that's a Wrangler - don't know if that's even an option on Gladiator".
Mojito has not been offered on the Gladiator as of current. Believe they released a limited run of Gecko Green

It’s about $44k now. Some going for $46-47, so yours could easily land in that group.

I looked at your occupation and thought "trust this guy - he knows numbers and facts", and it's because of 'bean counting' (and my wife's methodical spreadsheet tracking of my vacation and sickleave) I was able to retire at 60.

Mega-thanks for the info.

That's very interesting. I knew very very little of MMR. Interesting also is the average mileage (31K on your screenshot?) so the miles under 31 added some value.
Condition - mine now has a small rock chip on the hood smaller than a B-B. One of my own front tires threw a rock forward but because the rock and I were traveling almost the same speed, it was not a "hit" so much as a landing. Otherwise, no scratches or dings I am aware of. It really does wash up like new. (no trails in Iowa, rocks are what farmers haul out of the fields)

I am extremely curious as to what MMR means to people like dealers. I know they'll look at NADA and see much lower numbers than that.

Mojito has never been available. Gecko yes, Mojito no.
I did a brief search and what I found is what you said...........

MMR is what dealers are writing checks for on similar vehicles to yours... this is the bible

Thanks. So if I could do 44-45 on mine in trade and get one for 55-56, I'd have met my goal. or at least made it worth talking a bit more serious. (I know there's taxes, etc. etc. but on trade numbers, the Iowa 5% is small.

I'd do a wheel and tire swap so my trade-in would have brand new tires and wheels and I'd use these on the new one, so the trade-in would be seen on a lot with new tires.

I have a question related to this I'll ask elsewhere, just a curiosity thing on a number..........

So MMR doesn't take into account for bumpers and winches and stuff like that. It has mine valued at between $33,000 and $37,000 and they offered me $41,000 at the dealership yesterday for mine so I'm assuming the bumpers and maybe the 37's bumper the price up for the dealership. My guy at Hendricks called me this morning and said they would match the offer but do better on the price of one.
